This is the best LSU team I know of and you're a 1 pt favorite (or whatever).

This may not be one of the best ever Bama teams
Name some better ones. This one would absolutely wipe the field with 1992 Bama by several TDs. Maybe even 20 points. 1992 Bama's offense sucked and would go 3 and out every possession against this year's bama team giving them great field position all day.
And the 2009 bama team would lose by double digits as well. That team barely squeaked by and got lucky against some bad teams. And that team had no where close to the talent.
Again, name some better bama teams.

LSU opened as a slight favorite a couple weeks ago but money has been going to Alabama, so they are currently the small favorite.

Why should he? We beat yall at home and you somehow dont think we are better why should LSU be phased by one game(if it was a loss)?
Ok if we beat you in OT then both teams best ever. If we beat you in regulation then.........
According to most LSU fans Super Dome is your home field.

I think it will be pretty close to 50-50, fwiw.

TigerInMiami, I agree this team is better than 2009 but I'm not sure about 1992 because of the big discrepancy in special teams. Plus, you can't compare a team directly to another era, only judge against how they did with-in their own era.
What I don't know is how good this team is compared to some of the teams in the 60's and 70's. I really just have no clue which would be better. I have an idea some of those Bryant teams were pretty salty.

I agree, but that is sorta what I am doing when I say "best ever". I am saying this year's bama team would beat any other that has ever taken the field.
I'm am very confident they would handle the '92 team relatively easily. The offense of the '92 team just would not ever be able to move the ball against this year's bama team and this year's bama team would start every drive close to midfield. The defense's of both teams are similar in their dominance, but they is a VAST difference in offenses. I would rate the '92 bama offense a 3 or 4/10 and this year a 7 or 8/10.

The line moves with where the money is going. Most people agree that +/- 3 is a coin flip.

Considering those teams in the 60s werent integrated Id say this bama team would wipe the floor with them.

Best teams ever don't lose. Ever.

Where would you rate the '92 bama offense lil fella?
And remember, they got a million possessions a game with great field position due to the best defense ever.

Well of course they would handle the 92 team easily. I bet you this year's Auburn team would have a chance against them and this years Georgia team would drill the '92 team (just look at the weight difference).
It's meaningless to say a team is the best ever because it could beat a 1966 Alabama team or even a 1992 team.
And the talent on the field doesn't make it one of the best teams either. It's how the team plays, the sum being greater than the parts kinda deal.
Regardless, I think I agree with you because I've said all along this is a championship caliber team and it blows that we have such a good team the same year LSU has its best team ever.
Wish LSU would have been so great last year so they could have denied AU!

Beer Bryant, the correct term is "racialist."

Agree. I think our team next year will actually be more talented than this one, but I don't know if it could create the "perfect storm" and accomplish what this team has.
