Be honest Aggies - how many of you were rooting for Nicholls to pull off the upset?

So that Sumlin could get fired before he left the stadium? I have a friend who is an Aggy and he was actually rooting for Nicholls to win so that Sumlin could go now.

Isn't Sumlin their winningest coach ever? They would be crazy to fire him, give him another year to right the ship

Nicholls St almost beat UGA last year. Those boys play hard.

In the current progressive, SJW climate we live in, A&M faces the real possibility of severe backlash from irrational people simply because Sumlin is black and well, firing him is racist.

It's a double edge sword. Do you smash the sjw's into oblivion and give Sumlin "the treatment" or do you pander to them to keep from a full on riot.

I say just keep him. You don't want those problems.

I think A&M has more familiarity with balls than any university in the SEC. They won't go the route of Mizzou. Still, it could cause some problems.

I wasn't rooting for Nichols to pull off the upset. Damage was already done that game. I was pulling for a fumble and then an interception when we had the ball inside the 10 with a 1st and goal and less than 2 minutes remaining. It was time to take a knee but we were handing off and passing.

A fumble on first or second or an interception on 3rd would have been perfect to show the idiocy that we are dealing with in College Station.

No.

He's gone regardless. No need to lose to them. The close game did enough damage to further weaken his position.

Truer words have never been spoken...

They've confused equality for preferential treatment.

aggies, just curious as I did not watch the game on tv. What was the general crowd reaction on & off during the game? Attendance normal ?

Good news is the higher ups won't suffer slings and arrows of irrational people.

Jokes aside, Nicholls plays hard, I knew it was going to be a game after seeing Georgia last year.

Ags need to stay with Hubenak and use Mond for situational plays.

They will point to JFF and his heisman, the wins against Alabama, and blame anything and everything but the man himself.

I was praying for a pick 6 when they threw it on 3rd and goal up 7 with 30 seconds left and Nicholls had no timeouts left

Would have been hillarious and well deserved at the same time.

We'd fired our beloved black strength coach Ivey for not supporting the protests. We showed balls to those that didn't.

Actual butts in seats was probably 80,000--about 10,000 less than you would expect for the first home game (when it's against a chump). I guess the word you would use to sum up the attitude was "resigned." It sort of seemed like watch a ship sink slowly in the distance. It wasn't an angry crowd.
