If you were going to start at 2000, that conveniently misses State's CWS appearances in 97 and 98. But yes, Arkansas has been good for more than 10 years.
I remember reading about this last year--it's almost weird how similar State's and Arkansas' baseball results have been for some time. Really close, including making it to the finals and losing.
I'm sure I could pick a start year where State has one more of this or two more of that. State went through three bad years at the end of Polk and start of Cohen's years from 2008-2010, but even bookended those with CWS (2007) and Super Regional (2011) appearances. Really none of Polk-the-second-time-around years were very good until he made it to the CWS in 2007. Took our AD forever to get rid of him.
So I'd probably start with 2011, but I've already seen comparisons that showed State and Arkansas really close so I don't care enough to try to find a year that works in State's favor.

I've never understood looking back more than 15 years for any program. There's not a single recruit that would remember beyond that. That was why I said 03-04. But I figured 2000 would be a pretty fair point, it was 20 years ago. There are very very few college baseball players who would be old enough to remember anything before that.
