Arkansas fans are butt hurt over some random guy’s predictions on the internet. Kind of sad

I'm saying we lost more production going into last year and still made Omaha. Not comparing to your team

If you get this upset about people questioning your predictions, you probably shouldn't make them

This isn’t questioning bub. I ain’t upset, I just think it is hilarious that Arkansas fans automatically think they are world beaters coming into every season.

Probably Noland. It could switch to Wicklander if he has a slow start though

D1baseball had Florida as preseason #1 and they ended up a 3seed.
Fake news.
2019 D1 Baseball Preseason Rankings

Good. Gives me time to prep for the annual Ole Miss let down.

Check baseball america.. One of them had Florida preseason top 5 at least which was ridiculous.

Florida was in the top 15 or 20 almost all season lol

Maybe this is the season that finally gets Childress fired ...

I get the premise that pre-season polls don't really mean anything, but they are generally a solid metric for evaluating a team's potential.
Just compare the 2019 D1 Baseball pre-season rankings with the 2019 NCAAT top 16 regional hosts. 13 of the top 16 teams in the pre-season ranking ended up hosting. Only Florida, Florida State, and Baylor did not. Florida was a disappointment, but FSU was a CWS team, and Baylor a 2 seed.
Michigan (pre-season #17) was a CWS finalist and Oklahoma State (pre-season #18) ended up as the #9 overall seed and super-regional team.

We lost our ace and 2 bats but the heart of our line up is still there.
3 bats - Mangum, MacNamee, & Skelton. Skelton had more Hits, RBIs & HRs than MacNamee last year.

Macnamee is more of a locker room loss than a team loss. Hatcher can easily fill his bat with Foscue at clean up. Skelton is a big time loss

Going to be a fun year.

Well in our defense, since this seems to be a theme, we are normally a top seed in the tournament, so I can see the pollsters taking a flier on us last year with our new starting pitching which had shown potential. I was pretty surprised how bad our pitching turned out as it is usually a strength.

Right, people can point to one offs but that really doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Are preseason polls going to be 100% right? Of course not but they are going to be right more times than not as a whole.

you lost your ace and three good bats. Not including depth.
I mean we're the only team in the country with 2 preseason all-americans. Kjerstad, Martin and Goodheart should be one of the best hearts of the order in the country. Plus we have maybe the best defensive catcher in the country back in Opitz and last month got news that projected top 2 round MLB draft pick Robert Moore enrolled early at Arkansas and will start at 2B for us this year which was unexpected.
Isaiah Campbell is a big loss but the other 2 weekend starters return and they were only freshmen last year so you'd think they'd make a pretty big jump this year. A lot of people had questions coming into last year too but I've learned not to doubt Dave Van Horn.
