One day your team can be waxing every team they play with hats on that say “daddy” and players flipping off the opponent as they round the bases.
The next day the last possible team to make the post season is playing for the CWS finale while you are still trying to cope through a case of R&R and building yourself up for a football program that hasn’t done anything in 20 years.

We had just beaten the best team in the league ( Dixie youth). During the handshakes the other teams jerk coach was berating his own players and insulting mine by hollering “ y’all just let the worst team in the league beat you! Why do you think that happened?” (Before the game we had heard him fussing at his players for going swimming before the game, so that is what he was referring to). I replied. “Coaching.” My players got a kick out of it cause they knew he was being a jerk.
