I have my top 5 that can make a run. Arkansas is on a crazy swing, those dudes are hitting their stride. They are tops of my 5.

Vandy always has pitching but now they are scoring. Geez. In my top 5.

The rest? I never leave LSU out based on history, I have Miss State there along with Ole Miss.

Texas A&M cannot be ruled out but this weekend series vs OleMiss will say a lot. This could be Bianco’s year to hit the CWS and make noise. On the other hand A&M always has a good team. The state of Texas is loaded with talent. What say you?

We play A&M again? Are they going to be at the Box? I think you play A&M this weekend! Lol jk but your series and our series have tremendous impact this weekend.

On paper, I like them all except LSU. Vandy, Arkansas and MSU are at the top, but A&M has great pitching and Ole Miss never gives up. I like how Ole Miss plays, but they need more consistency. I know better than to count out LSU, but I just don't see it happening this year.

Until LSU gets their pitching staff figured out, I think they are the odd man out. OM has the offense to go far and A&M has the pitching as both have been mentioned. Georgia is another. Whats the latest news on the injuries to their pitchers? If they get Hancock back to full health, then they can go deep as well.

Vandy needs to get the bullpen issues straightened out outside of Tyler Brown in order to make a deep run. That is the weak link.

i don't recall seeing a team with as many injuries as lsu has been dealing with this year. it's been unbelievable. henry and hill are currently out. they are supposed to be back for the postseason. they both looked incredible.

walker is just now starting to look back to normal. he doesn't throw hard but his command is outstanding. he gets compared to maddux in that regard.

not sure about hilliard yet. tonight against ole miss will say alot. just coming back from injury

after a rough first inning, marceaux was on lock down last weekend. he is legit. just coming back from injury

hess was injured and is now moving to the bullpen. lsu's pen is stout. peterson, fontenot, hess are all really good and can go several innings. beck is pretty darn good in setup. vietmeier is a bit inconsistent.

top to bottom, i don't think there's anybody in the country that has as many quality arms. lsu will probably have to go on the road for supers and the team just hasn't been great away from the box so we'll see.

They’ll look like an MLB team if they come to Starkville.

Hancock out again tonight vs Florida

Bats need to pick up the slack this weekend; hit a slump at the plate last weekend mixed with playing in a tough setting against a good team (MSU). We are firmly in it with winnable games down the stretch but need Hancock healthy for Auburn next week and bats need to get hot. Last 9 games are Florida, Auburn, Bama with 6 of those at home and we are in that 4 way tie for 3rd after last weekend. I think we are outside looking in to win the conference but a top 4 seed in Hoover is very much so still in play

May is when it counts.
Remember this time last year, MSU was on the outside looking in.
They end up sweeping Fla last weekend of SEC season in a series that was basically meaningless for Fla
Got hot for regional time and came within a game of playing for national title.

The teams with two legit starters are scary come tourney time - Miss with Small and Ginn A&M with Lacy and Doxakis
Ark pitching still has some concerns but Noland has been great as of late with Campbell

If LSU can get healthy they have the staff to make a run but offense needs to heat up and stay hot this month.

Ark and Miss St have offenses that can keep up as well

Vandy is probably most complete team at this point

Oh geez Hog fans. Y’all are going all in on us. You’ve lost 14 of 15. Don’t let us make it 15 of 16

lsu does have a couple of ringers in cabrera and marceaux. both should be in the pros. lsu's outfield all has the potential: watson, cabrera and dups. josh smith is early 2nd round, mayyyyyybe late 1st. henry reminds me a little of gausman who is killing it in the majors right now. hess could possibly be a closer.

i didn't even mention storz and labas who are good arms but just can't seem to get over their injuries. storz is reportedly throwing from the mound so maybe he can make it back for the postseason but, not really necessary with all the arms lsu has. labas - who knows.

Not me. We're certainly due to win a series against LSU. I expect LSU to get fully healthy and hitting on all cylinders next weekend.

Good luck to y’all. Hope it will be a good series but we need to look at the one in front of us right now

No doubt. We've actually been decent on the road this season so I'm hoping for a series win at Kentucky.

We finish up at home vs LSU then at Texas A&M. Going to be some tough series for sure.

Agreed. Will be interested to see how they use Hickman in the postseason. He was impressive in relief against Auburn.

Noland has been coming on the last couple of weekend, but so has the other freshman guy, Wicklander.

We get our previous #2 starter, Cody Scroggins, back from injury this week. He's been out the last couple of weeks with shoulder soreness. With the way the freshmen, Noland and Wicklander, have been pitching lately, it looks like DVH will keep Scroggins in then pen for long relief situations or as a 4th starter for tourney formats like Hoover or Regionals.

Hopefully, Cronin will show back up. He's been very hittable his last few appearances mainly due to rust. Our offense has been putting up some gaudy numbers lately, so he hasn't had to come in for save situations that much lately. But when he has, he has looked "human" more or less.

Yeah we are in almost the same spot we were in trying to make the tourney in basketball. We shall see if we can do it. Pretty disappointing performance this year by our pitchers.

Aaron schunk also out again (missed Saturday and Sunday at MSU with sore Achilles).

So literally our two best players out for a second weekend in a row.

Nothing bad will come of this.
