Only sports personality worth listening to in America. Now they have run him off.

I have 0 interest in the NBA, but I watch Inside the NBA with him, Shaq, Ernie, and Kenny anytime I see it on. Barkley is one of the best there is

He'll start a podcast and make twice as much.

The fans' loss, as he's one of a very few who feel free to speak his mind, screw any PC repercussions. As he put it, no one is allowed to have a sense of humor anymore. Safe to assume no one from BLM will get in his face, either.

Nah. If we are into censorship, then everyone needs to follow the rules.

Good for Charles!!!! I used to love to watch the NBA and then Inside the NBA right after. The NBA just totally was ruined when all this political garbage that has infected most sports. Good on Charles though for having a backbone and standing up against some of this stuff anyway. If I was Charles I wouldn’t wait till I was 60 though I would just step up and leave now.

I wouldn't watch the NBA if they were playing in my garage.

His fat girls in San Antonio jokes are awesome. That show is going to be in big trouble without him. The other three are very likeable and Shaq is a good entertainer, but they are not comedic geniuses like Charles.

I think that is coming to an end. I took my son to a Hawks/Sixers playoff game. Everyone stood for the national anthem and cheered when it was over. No real political statements unless you count the MLK jerseys, but that is not really political. He is an American icon and grew up and lived a few blocks from the arena.

He should get some latitude for his self deprecating personality on the Cap One commercials with Samuel L and Spike Lee during March Madness. You can't do anything that resembles humor anymore because of the sensitivity police.

He gets to leave on his own terms. Good for him. Maybe he’ll do a podcast and he can literally tell everyone at TNT to kiss his arse

I enjoy listening to his thoughts, even on politics, because he comes from a good place and makes you think. (I changed my position on one political issue after hearing him go through the details.)

Just an honest dude who wants to help people and sometimes have hard discussions about things without pandering or constantly giving "hot takes." Even if you don't agree with everything he says, he's reasonable.

I wish we had more of that type of dialog today, but unfortunately we seem to be going in the opposite direction.

just replying in general. i have been a part time musician for years and i have a lot of friends that are musicians and two of them have played a club in leeds where he showed up and signed autographs and he actually sat in with both bands and played bass. super nice and no ego and they said he was better on bass than they expected. i apologize for not remembering the clubs name but this story is true.

It's so rare today to see a well-known personality be absolutely real.

Charles Barkley is as real as it gets, and would get my vote as someone who could fix a lot of bullshite in this country.
