Bama’s only problem is Billy O

The OL has been shitty ever since his arrival.
His scheme has zero creativity.
Bama fans will rejoice when he’s gone.

Nah, he’s great! Y’all need to keep him. He was a pro head coach and an OC with Brady! Plus, he’s got a great personality that young kids love to be around.

Pete Golding needs to go first.

I'm not sure how you came out of that game thinking defense was a big problem.
The penalties need to be contained, but some of them were pretty bad calls that extended Texas drives.

Defense has been soft, lacking fundamentals and lost since Pete arrived. We get progressively worse as the season goes on. But pretend otherwise.

I think the bigger problem is the scheme is too complex and many of the plays we run take too long to develop. Also, we run the clock down to 1-2 seconds to make 347492 checks at the line - which handicaps our biggest advantage, which is talent & being able to force the defense to make quick adjustments.
No more RPOs, no more quick slants, very little tempo. It’s just gross.

Ah the meerkat offense.
Don’t miss that

It’s awful. And we seem to love to do it any time we get some nice momentum going running tempo. It’s an absolute drive killer.

Golding is the sole reason we were in the playoffs last year and are still undefeated this year. He may not quite be Smart or Pruitt but he's holding up his end of the deal. O'Brien, on the other hand, sucks ten million dicks. Not showing him the door after last season was a poor decision.

We disagree on Pete, it's okay. What was our D rank last year?

You thought our defense was the problem after giving up only 19 points to Steve Sarkisian while our offense had something like 7 consecutive 3 & outs?

Bama has gone from a team that lines up and whips azz to a team that has to have a OC/DC that can outsmart everybody.
Really.
Really.

1st in the SEC in 2020
4th in 2019

I know our defense is not as good as it should be. Miss tackles, leave receivers running wide open, We couldn't whip an inexperienced OL Saturday. But if you are good with that then all is great in Ttown.

We haven't gotten worse as the season went on in any year he's been the DC.
I don't know what games you are watching.

I said from the moment we hired him why are we hiring someone who couldn't figure out how to win with deshaun Watson?

I'm not saying Golding is the best DC in the country, but he has proven he can get his side up to a championship standard. O'Brien, on the other hand, managed to score almost no points in regulation twice last year while having the acknowledged best offensive player in the game captaining his squad. He came very close to doing the same thing on Saturday. Can you imagine how hard that is to do? We get shite on these days for playing poorly on the road, but actually the defense plays lights out on the road. Only the offense goes into a shell. Kentucky was, for Kentucky, dominant on OL last year. We went and got their OL coach and we still suck this year. O'Brien is the constant in all these things.

Hey, I'm not defending OB. Just have seen as much of Pete as I can stand.

Who do you want coaching the defense, then? Can't be Pruitt because he's still radioactive right now.
