First off Roll Tide, I pray y'all don't overlook Pitino and Iona. Stinkin Slimey Pitino is one heck of a coach..even with a team not nearly as talented as yall's, he has shown he can take inferior talent and win because of his coaching.

Iona is not built to beat Bama. They could upset a slow paced team, but our length and speed of play will have them shook.

I'm sure Oats is preaching this to his boys, but Iona will be the worst KenPom rated team that Alabama has played the entire season.

I'm not overlooking shite.
I still remember the Billy "The Kid" Donovan debacle with Providence in '86-'87.
Alabama was 26–3 and was upset by Pitino and that team in the Sweet 16.

I'm not overly worried about Iona to be honest. I do think we have a tough 7-10 matchup with UCONN (16th in Kenpom - by far the best of any 7 seed) or Maryland (31st in Kenpom) after that.
To state the obvious, hopefully the players are not following my lead. It's not like it's unthinkable that we could play poorly and they could play well.

Not thrilled with having UConn or Maryland in round 2. Even in relative down years, programs like those still have the talent to turn it on come tournament time.

UMBC wasn't built to beat Virginia either. The way you win this tournament is to never take anyone lightly and take it one game at a time.

Virginia is the most overrated basketball team the past few years. Their coach figured out a style that was winning them games by just playing really conservative and forcing turnovers, but people have figured them out this season.
