TCU just went 5-7 with a team that has 4 kids picked in the first 3 rounds. Yikes.

That would suck, was looking forward to playing SC. But it would be better than nothing.

I could only think of that absolute destruction of USC in the 2016 opener, but the Trojans should be much improved, lots of experience coming back. Might have been a solid game

What's the over/under on whether Zach Evans will still be on the team?

We're not a fun draw for a season opener.

I can't remember any of those neutral site games being close, maybe VT in early Saban years?

2009 Virginia Tech was probably the closest. 2nd closest was 2014 West Virginia, first game with Blake and Kiffin.

That sucks. I think USC is suppose to be pretty good this year, I hope that game happens

Good.

Better to prepare for the worst case scenario and have a plan. Good job by Greg Byrne and everyone involved.

I love opening with a P5 team. LSU has generally dominated them too but the most recent exception was 2015 Wisconsin.

Then there was 2010 UNC. Barely squeaked out the W but the offense gave us all Stage IV cancer.

USC has a good deal of returning talent and some solid additions to the coaching staff. Not saying they're "back" but I wouldn't be surprised if they finish in the top 10

I was at that game. It was the start of the greatest, worst, most entertaining, most frustrating, most exciting, hardest to watch season in LSU Football history.

UNC was missing like 3/4 of their team due to suspensions and they still almost came back. Clue-Les at his best

I dunno man, feels like we’ve heard that every year since their probation ended

That sucks. I would much rather watch us play Oklahoma State or BYU.

See how quickly Bama got a P5 opponent, all P5 and G5 Teams can do the same and stop playing the lower level Cupcakes, although TCU replaced USC just in case California doesn't open their colleges

Hmmmm?

I wonder since USC is a private school could they tell the Gov of Cali and their Board of Regents to kick rocks, we're gonna open up Campus and play as many CFB games as we can , including the Bama Game

It would seem that a Pvt University could do as they please wrt opening campus and playing games

We hear this every year. I wouldn’t hold my breath on a team that got it’s arse kicked by Iowa the last time it took the field being any good this year.

TCU has had a ton of injuries the past two seasons. I think they’ll have a solid year this year. Also six of their seven losses last year were by one score. A healthy roster flips a lot of those losses.

mmmm. I think TCU was just easy and convenient because they open with Cal so they'd have the same open date as Bama if Cali schools don't play.
