Josh Chapman was booked into Tuscaloosa County Jail after being arrested by Tuscaloosa police. A defensive lineman from Hoover who played with the Crimson Tide from 2007-11, Chapman has been an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the program since 2016.

The fifth-round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2012 was also arrested for DUI in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 29, 2017.

Damnit Josh. I'm disappointed in you, buddy

Hope they take his license for a few years. No sympathy from me.

The guy has a problem. Saban needs to make sure the School doesn't turn their back on him.

He should be fired. Guy's in his late 20's (if not early 30's) by now. Can't coddle these guys forever.

It would seem that he does.

But, receiving a second DUI while employed and representing the University as an employee may (should) be the end of his tenure with the Tide.

That said, does any other team make more news for any linked transgressions (posted so quickly by rival fans) than Bama? I just don't think many other headlines would be generated from other schools about a 2nd DUI (with no accident/injury involved) arrest of a former (good not great) player and/or non-primary staffer. Chapman is an assistant strength coach.

Hope he gets his life straightened out. He was a beast in the gym while at UA. Likely one of the strongest athletes to have played there under Saban. But, addiction doesn't care how much you bench.

Thank God. Only saw staffer and for a second I was concerned the SEC was about to lose Butch Jones

Wow!

What is going on in Tuscaloosa?

And when do we as a conference say ‘enough is enough’ and kick these bad apples out?!

I am sick of seeing these criminals in the news every day! Scandal after scandal! Gross!

Yes. We all get our balls busted when something like this happens within the programs. No one is exempt, no one gets it more, or less, than any other.

Just wait until the day Vandy has something happen like this.

Probably not. Bama is an elite football school, I'd expect more interest in their tales of woe than a second DUI by an assistant at Miami of Ohio or Southeast Missouri State.

He may not have been great on the the stat sheet, no NT is bc of their job description and that's why he was unheralded, but he was pretty great at doing what was asked of him (clogging holes and taking up multiple blockers)

And he's not just any assistant strength coach, he's the best assistant strength coach in the NCAA

He still holds multiple weight room records for Bama. ESPN had an article heading into his senior year about him being the strongest player in CFB

Damn. I still don't understand why he couldn't have used Uber. These are different times now. I learned quickly after my first one when I was young.

In the past you wouldn't read this type news in the paper, especially in the sports section. Nobody is targeting Bama, it is just links pop up now.

My insurance company offered me a free lyft ride credit for the weekend.

I don't drink so I won't be using it, but it must not be too expensive if they offer that.

Welcome, I hope you enjoy your stay here. I saw a bama fan post something about Auburn that happened over thirty years ago. This is not exclusive to bama. It's great that you hold yourself in such high regard though.

I mean, the article I posted is from AL.com and the very first about it was on BamaInsider that they put up just a couple hours after the fact
