We made his heart stop working good. Its obvious who the most butthurt coach on the planet is, and if you back him, you must be just as butthurt.

Butthurt means- mad about 21-0 and 21-17.

The Bama/LSU game was pretty odd this year. Bama uncharacteristically turned the ball over, and Miles made more bad decisions than probably any other game in his career. Looking back though, Miles' gameplan was better than Saban's. Bama was running the ball at will with Lacy/Yeldon, but he was leaning too heavily on McCarron.

I just find it comical when people think LSU beating Bama in Tuscaloosa this season is some far-fetched scenario. These two teams bring it every single year, even when one is significantly better than the other on paper (Bama 07, LSU 08, etc.)

If he's talking about close calls like that, then Urban shoulda died in the hospital after the 09 SEC Championship.

Holy shite at the thought process of some of y'all. So since Alabama SHOULD have lost to LSU and Georgia can they at least claim the A&M loss as a win?

No...because that would just be stupid. COULD Alabama have lost 3 games? Sure..they could have lost 12. But games are 60 minutes and Alabama should have and did lose 1 game.

I don't think anyone with any sense would say that.

Pretty funny considering how many close games Ohio State won last year against average to mediocre competition.

California (3-9) 35-28
@ Michigan State (7-6) 17-16
@ Indiana (4-8) 52-49
Purdue (6-7) 29-22 (OT)
@ Wisconsin (8-6) 21-14 (OT)
Michigan (8-5) 26-21

By the transitive property,

If Auburn almost beat LSU

LSU almost beat Alabama

Then Auburn almost beat Alabama? I agree with Urban Meyer for the first time ever

For clarity here's the entire qoute:

On the fragility of winning and how Alabama/SEC balances it well

"That's how I think Alabama has really done a good job. You have to give those guys a lot of credit. A lot of times you see that nowadays, the entitlement issues that come with winning and outside influences. I just think it's why the SEC is so good. You look at [2012], [Alabama] should have lost three games. Georgia had them beat. LSU, I watched that one, it was over. Obviously they ended up beating them. I thought they'd be really good. I think there are some really good teams in the conference."

There's a huge difference in the LSU and UGA games, IMO. LSU actually dominated the game. Take a gander at the stats, we dominated yardage, first downs, turnovers and TOP. How often do teams lose when you significantly win all four of those categories? Probably not very often.

Now, Bama dominated UGA in yardage, first downs and TOP. So, just because UGA could have beaten Bama does not mean they should have beaten Bama.

Urban should be intuitive enough to understand the difference.

And for those suggesting LSU should have lost to Auburn, again, the stats say otherwise. LSU played like shite and still doubled up Auburn in total yardage. While the score was close, I don't think anyone thought Auburn was going to win.

The game isn't over until 0:00 on the clock. If memory serves me, Alabama scored more points than LSU and UGA when the clock expired, so I'm not sure how the shouldn't have won. Despite both games being close and requiring late drives to win, there were no controversial calls that lead to the conclusion.

We are all aware that Alabama won the two games, TideJoe. This thread seems to have gone over your head. Move along.

Go back and look at Urbie's 2006 season ... can you name the games Florida should'a/could'a lost, (using his criterion), that season? Tennessee? South Carolina?

Eta: Urbie may be right, but he's a hypocrite.
