Losses to Stanford, Clemson, Western Kentucky, Oklahoma, and now UCLA

Could see this tournament letdown coming a mile away. SEC was historically bad.

This has been disproven dozens of times over the last several weeks.

The two bell cows, Auburn and Kentucky, had losing seasons.

It was a dog shite league.

One opted out rather than facing pending irrelevancy

I don’t think the SEC was very good and I think the tourney has shown that. Bama, Fla, and Tenn all lost to lower seeds. Missouri bounced first round. Arkansas, though they are in the Elite Eight, has trailed by double digits in its first three games and could easily have lost any of them

Translated means ‘my team wasn’t there therefore it’s horrible’.

Auburn fans became delusional after one good run

I’m just glad Alabama got eliminated earlier than they should’ve or it would’ve been worse

It takes a long arse time to become a “basketball” school. Every year for the most part, even those schools get tagged by underdogs.

Exactly..if we had any defense at all we would still be playing. Alabama had an off game
. Arkansas still playing. That's not a terrible year

The Pac 12 has three teams in the elite 8. That’s not going to happen again with any regularity.

The others are one big 12, one SEC, Gonzaga, one big ten, and one AAC.

It’s dumb to single out the SEC as under performing. This isn’t bowl season.

I'm not really sure about the SEC being historically bad, but I am sure that the so called basketball experts at ESPN and around the country had no freaking clue what they were talking about for pretty much the whole season. The B1G was supposed to be the strongest conference, they've got 1 team left. The PAC 12 has run roughshod over the whole tournament. The only thing anyone has gotten right is that Gonzaga is a holy terror that is going to annihilate anyone they play.

Auburn has never been a cow bell in any sport. Historically average at best. At everything.

Agreed, but it wasn’t a letdown for me. I thought our ceiling was the sweet 16 ever since the Oklahoma game, and I also didn’t think we’d win the SEC tournament, so I’m really happy with the season.

People who thought Alabama would make the final four were delusional
