Georgia is going to whip them boys on their own field. Book it. The decline will be almost complete. Then Orgeron finishes the job in November. Beat him into retirement. Announcement that this is his final season before thanksgiving.

Better than replacing an OC during these times

And yet again, the first person to mention LSU in an unrelated Alabama thread is a Bammer.
You hate to see it.

If losing your OC, DC, QB, and about 13 other starters is pretty much meaningless, so I’ve been told, I would only assume losing a S&C guy isn’t even noticeable.

Maybe you need to explain to Coach why he should be concerned. By all accounts and from him he is ecstatic about the new hire(s). Just sayin'.

I agree. S&C coaches time to shine is the off season. He sees the players the most, so of course this hurts Bama a little. Even if their new guy is in(not clue who they hired), he is likely to be a step down because Cochran was the best in CFB hands down.

I guess it should be equally difficult for Georgia having a new OC, offensive terminology, and starting QB.

No matter how many times you say it, LSU still didnt lose their OC.

Very mindful of you to include this part, Rig.

Yes he was...in 2009. His program was outdated and arcane. The type of athlete Alabama was recruiting in 2009 was different from the ones they're recruiting in 2020. It's the main reason for the inordinate amount of injuries.
Who they hired was the creator of the current way S&C programs are modeled after. Several programs including Texas and about a dozen NFL teams wanted them. He didn't leave partly because he was at his alma mater.

Spring practice in July might be better than in the spring.

Bama just got a major upgrade in the S/C program. Gonna be more than fine!

Think about Saban losing an institutionally entrenched badass S/C coach, having to break in a new one, during a time when only the S/C would have still been able to have unlimited coaching time during all the Coronavirus NCAA shut down. Having Cochran for continuity during these uncertain times, now more than ever, would have been a really big deal for the team.
