Bama is a top 4/5 team, get over it

Georgia is lucky to be #4 this week and they're being used to set an example. I think Bama should be #4 because I think they would beat Georgia and I don't think it would be close. The CFP putting them at 4 and Bama at 5 is telling you they're valuing SOS and they're allowing the PAC12 to prove themselves.
How? - Even though Georgia lost to shitty SC, they're favoring Georgia's schedule over Bama's (who lost to #1). Ultimately, if Oregon or Utah win out, they'll jump Bama for this reason.
Quit getting your panties in a wad.

Bama would finish 3rd in the SEC East

Both Oregon and Utah have soft schedule until the end. Very likely they will both face off in the Pac12 championship with a 12-1 conference champ. Almost a insured that Bama will get jumped. They current standing does not mean anything.

Bama has done nothing to prove they are a top team this year. They played a bunch of S'mores and LSU. This years rankings are not about them being good in the past.
The eye test got them to 5. If it was all done off of math and numbers they would be lower. The eye test has failed the smell test.

They have done nothing to warrant that kind of ranking. Should be lower.

Would you drop Bama behind Oregon and Utah? If so, why? I'm curious.

Its just hard to gauge how to rank Alabama.
They do this to themselves by scheduling nobodies and keeping that Fierce Tenn. team as a rival game.
They've lost their only real test this year.

Oregon and Alabama are interchangeable at this point in time. I would move Minnesota to 5 and push back Bama/Oregon to 6/7 and move Utah to 8.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but this cannot be the basis of playoff selection in ANY sport.

Georgia's there because the ranking means nothing and they didn't want Bama in the spot. It't that simple.
Win out and UGA is in, and the committee looks very smart. Don't and there's no chance and the committee looks fair. At 4,6, or 10 that wouldn't change.

I just don’t see Bama as a top 4 team right now.
-Bama OOC scheduling is as bad as it gets. They played arguably the worst team in the FBS, New Mexico State. Only Akron or UMass might be worse.
Bama also plays a bad FCS team Western Carolina.
Against their schedule before LSU, they should look like the best team in the nation. Most decent teams would look great against those teams.
Then when they finally played a team with a pulse at home, they lost in a game that wasn’t near as close as the score indicated.
What about Bama makes them a top 4 or 5 team at this point? They should have to earn it by proving themselves. They have proved nothing.

Comparing Bama's schedule to Oregon, Utah, Minnesota, Penn St., and Oklahoma - it's a no-brainer where they should be.
Bama hasn't had any teams come close to beating them except for LSU (the #1 team in the country). All of those other teams have had close games against comparable or worse teams.

You didn't ask me but...
Oregon lost to a good team but has played a soft schedule also. Bama lost to a better team than Oregon. Even with their soft schedule, they are in ahead of Oregon.
Utah has the soft schedule also. Their loss was to ASU, who is now unranked. So no.
The Au Gophers have played a tougher schedule than Bama and are undefeated. They have some tough games ahead, but for this week they deserved to be ahead of Bama.
The next month is going to decide most of the problems. Given that all 1 loss teams are equal, the blue bloods will always get the nod.

Top notch reasoning there.

Are you serious? Uga would have a chance to beat them. Florida, no freaking way.
