Probably the only team in America that has that gaurantee.

Lose to Auburn, one loss to rival.

Lose to UGA, one loss in Champ game.

That's just nuts. Good for you.

How you can be so certain they'd be in with a loss, assuming Wiscy or Oklahoma doesn't trip up?

Miami/Clemson
Oklahoma
Sec champ
Wisconsin

Edit: If either Oklahoma or Wisconsin loses, I could definitely see it. Of course, Ohio State, even with their blowout losses (were they to win the big10) might get in. I don't think they should, but they could.

Outside shot at best if loss vs Auburn. A couple has to lose.

If the loss is to Georgia, Georgia goes.

Two loss Auburn would be a tough sell.

You lost to a team that lost to Troy.

One loss Bama goes over AU

Bama is not getting in if they lose to Auburn. They would have beaten absolutely nobody.

Seriously? Auburn would have destroyed Georgia, beat Alabama, then beat Georgia again in this scenario. You can't say we wouldn't be in with those wins.

And Clemson lost to Syracuse. What's your point?

Committee has made it crystal clear over the last 3 years that their number 1 criterion is quality wins, and Bama won't have jack shite if they lose to Auburn.

Bama doesn't deserve to go if they lose either of those games

What if UGA loses to Gtech , Bama loses to Auburn (threw up in my mouth a little) and UGA beats Auburn?

His point is that no one outside Lee county wants to see auburn play.
Everyone wants to see Bama.

You know I'm right.

I can see a 2011 scenario where Bama gets in if they lose to auburn and Auburn loses to Georgia.

But they would still need people to lose for that to happen.

I would beg to differ. They would not have Bama in with a loss to AU, no matter what happens in the SECCG.

But the multiple melts from everyone around here would be fun as hell if it happened.

In most other years Bama would have likely gotten in with a loss to AU. But this year, Bama's resume is bad. The only 3 teams they've beaten with a pulse is FSU when whole, LSU and MSU. It's not likely but conceivable that not one will be ranked at the end. But if they are they will be 15 on down. So, they will have played a weak schedule (doesn't matter that there's nothing they could do about it) and didn't win their division or conference. IMO, Bama won't get in unless there are only 3 teams that have not lost 3 or more games. The only exceptions are Wash and USC, maybe a couple of others. I.e., there is no chance. Last year Bama played 10 ranked teams, this year 3 thus far.

The committee's charge is to get the best 4...Dsnt have to be a conference champ either. I don't see a 1 loss Bama team being left out after being #1 for most of year. That matters , whether the committee admits it or not. Sec champ, ACC champ, Oklahoma will make it. Wisconsin isn't beating Ohio St and no way Ohio St gets in with 2 blowout losses. It could come down to Bama or Miami and don't see Miami getting the nod.

1. We aren't in for sure, any loss puts us on the bubble and potentially out.

2. If we do make it in with a loss, so be it. We would have earned it. We don't frick up and lose games to Troy and shite during the year, which puts us in a position to make the playoffs.
