Bama fans, what are you expecting from Tua this year?

Does he just destroy everyone in his path in a revenge tour from the Clemson game? Does he look more human now that UGA and Clemson set the blueprint? Somewhere in between?
His WR's are so good that his margin for error seems to be pretty big.

Don't know as I don't really think about it like that.
I expect Alabama to be good and I think he is the best QB in college football.

Tuanigamanuoleola will have a huge season again and set more records because he is very good at quarterback and has very good players around him and a good scheme. His legacy will be determined in his biggest games and with his health.

UGA and clemson had the talent and coaching to make him look silly.
Nobody on their regular season schedule is capable of that aside from maaaaaaybe LSU. He'll look like a heisman frontrunner in at least 11 regular season games.

He has a lot of frick it I’m going deep in him. When it works it’s beautiful. When he is off it’s ugly. Luckily for him his receiving corp is stacked so it’s hard to have an off game.
I’m interested to see how he plays when he doesn’t have a calm voice of reason on the sidelines that he had in Jalen Hurts.

Georgia or Clemson didn't set a blueprint. Tua was injured in the Georgia game from the 3rd offensive snap on. Both turnovers were the result of the injury.
Bama moved the ball up and down the field on Clemson, until shitty play calling stopped Bama in the red zone. The pick six was the result of a player running the wrong route.

Seeing as how he's had only one full season as a starter, I expect him to be even better this season, and more poised against the big dogs. I think that he learned a lot in 2018.
Or he could have the yips and spiral. I hope not.

Not to mention that false start penalty on the 1-yard line that might have cost us a touchdown. We could have gone up 20-14 right there. Instead, we settled for the field goal and that was all she wrote.
That game still irritates me. We had more first downs than Clemson, we won time of possession, and had them beat in total yards until that final drive where they took a knee inside the 10-yard line. The final yardage tally in that game was 482-443.
Tua didn't have a that bad of a night. He was 22-36 for almost 300 yards. But those two picks were what killed us.

It’s all going to depend on his health. If he stays healthy, he could be as good or better than last year. That’s a big “if” though.

If he is healthy this year, a lot.
He was UNREAL the first 5 games last year until he got hurt. Was still very good after but nowhere near what he was

Not expecting any increase in stats
Hopefully he learns to check down when the home run isn't there.
And throw it away because he seems to be made of glass.

I'd be tempted to predict a disappointing year, due to these issues. But the team around him (especially the WRs) are so good, he could be less than 100% healthy, make some mistakes, and still blow teams out.

oh yeah, and Tua set an alltime ncaa passing efficiency record last season despite playing half the year with a nagging leg injury, which will impact a qb's entire game. I expect him to be even better this year.
