And Dani said no, who would you go after?

Urban would be asked. All he could do is say no. He may want back in the SEC with Saban out of the picture.

Answer has changed in recent days. Might’ve been Jimbo if he was still at fSU at that time. Might’ve been Mullen f he was still at MSU.

We would probably have to hire Gundy, Fedora, or maybe even Muschamp. Nobody is going want to follow Saban anyway right?

Probably Dabo, although I still have reservations about him. He kind of annoys me and up until the last couple of years I would have said no way in hell. Getting hard to ignore his consistency on the field and in recruiting though at this point.

If Dabo says no, it will be very interesting for Alabama, but that time isn't going to come for at least 3-5 years. Saban isn't IMO going to retire until he at least matches Bear Bryant's national title total. But I also have a feeling Saban will coach regardless until he physically is unable to any longer.

I would ask each potential candidate whether they would start Hurts or Tua, then go from there.

Pete Carroll would crawl through glass to Tuscaloosa. In 5 years he'll be sick of the weather in Seattle anyways.

Urban and Belichick are begging for the job

When Dabo says no to $7M, you offer him $9M. When he says no you offer him $11M.
If it means making him the highest paid coach out there so be it. The Saban hire proved you go after a big name coach and give them whatever they want until the say Yes. No reason giving a unproven coach $5/6M when you can get a proven thing.

Assuming it's 2-3 years down the road and guys progress like I think they might, my general list would be (beyond Dabo) (age right now)
- Justin Fuente (VT) (41)
- James Franklin (Penn St) (45)
- Bill Clark (UAB) (49)
- DJ Durkin (Maryland) (39)
- John Harbaugh (Ravens) (55)
- Bill O'Brien (Texans) (48)
- Adam Gase (Dolphins) (39)

Assuming Jimbo would not be at ATM. I thhope no theynmake a run at him. I don't think dabo is leaving. After that I have no idea. I assume they would go after a Saban protege like Pruit or someone.
