As long as Bama had a chance of making the Playoff, having two teams from the SEC was fine. Best teams, right? Now that Bama is out, suddenly, we can’t have two teams from the same conference. Lol.

Personally, I’m good with it. I’ve ALWAYS said that if you don’t win your conference, you shouldn’t win a national title. But the flip flop is pretty amazing and it’s more about villains and ratings and getting the teams in with the biggest followings than it is about who the best teams are. It’s a business about money, not about who is best.

So be it. Just win and it will all take care of itself. But, the bias is quite a thing to behold.

It’s good to be a Bama fan. Well done.

You’re missing my point. It’s about Bama Bias when there is a chance they can get in. Now that they can’t, they drop them so the SEC won’t have two teams in. The SEC can only get two teams in if one of them is Bama, thus the bias.

Who is saying this? If Georgia beats LSU I’m pretty sure LSU is still in.

Yeah they did. Well, at least they get to see how that shite feels. I hope they win their bowl but I don't feel sorry for them.

How did they get hosed? Being ranked 12 with no top 25 wins and 2 good losses is pretty fair. They kept Bama at 5 even without Tua to see what they could do against Auburn and they lost.

I'm pretty sure the bias is well deserved. What's interesting is you LSU pricks want to say Bama sucks when you only beat us by 5 points. If we suck then how good is LSU? Just average?

Bama schedule is what’s biting them in the rear now. Never should have accepted playing Duke game.if they had played Oregon instead of Auburn they would be in a much better position. So in the end their schedule caused this situation and it’s not all their fault. South Carolina rolling in on their schedule and suxing so bad didn’t help them either. Georgia should be punished even more for that loss.

I agree but this also vindicates the OP, though

Alabama was #5 with no ranked wins and no Tua “just in case”. I don’t see any other sec team getting this treatment.

I dont want 2 SEC teams in it. Oklahoma or Utah should be #4.

For me it’s pretty simple... assuming your worries about losing Saturday, because that’s the only way the SEC could get 2. Let’s compare LSU and OU if that were to happen. Remember not CFP rankings count because they start over every week.

LSU- 12-1, division winner, non conf champ, wins over.
#9 UF, #11 AU, #12UA

OU- 12-1, top 2 B12, Conf Champ, wins over.
#7 Baylor (2x), #25 OSU

So the schedule favors LSU a touch, but no conf championship. Neither play defense.

I could see LSU having some interest, but it’s gonna be hard; because no 1 loss champ had been left out for a non champ. Thus will really matter to the committee, maybe not mainstream media; but they don’t vote.

And If UTAH wins that 2 1loss champs; it’s gonna be almost impossible in my eyes.

If the committee decides on
OSU
CLEMSON
UGA
LSU

WITH
12-1 Utah
12-1 OU right behind...

I think we will go to 8 by 2021 season. I just don’t think the presidents and commissioners of the other 4 confs will be happy at this point.

And This is where the discussion comes they call it the best vs the deserving... I think it’s more the favorites vs the deserving.

Personally I think you need to win something to have have a chance to win something bigger. If there is only 4 spots.

Why didn't Oregon's schedule bite them?

So explain to me again why a two loss Alabama is ranked below a three loss Auburn when the committee already showed they didn't care about head to head losses... when earlier in the season they ranked a one loss Oregon who played no one, over a two loss Auburn who beat Oregon?

Instead of blindly hating Alabama, open up your eyes. That committee has heavy pac12 and big10 influence and they have been looking for ways to castrate the SEC.

They have set up the rankings to make sure LSU can't get in if they lose the championship game, the LSU fans were just too stupid to see it. Instead of kicking up a storm about that, they were to busy celebrating Alabama's demise.. cosigning how Alabama wasn't that good.
