I'd rather go to Santa Clara.

I'm forced to pay "protection" money to the Federal government annually.

Nothing says I have to donate to the Peoples Republic of California.

The two fan bases are going to have to start saving money year round to go to these games for travel. That stadium is going to be empty but at least crowd noise won’t be a factor.

The cost there is not much different than that to Dallas or PHX. The real issue is San Francisco is a shithole.

Yea I'd rather spend the weekend in Napa then go to the game in Santa Clara on Monday than any of those.

The issue is the game is also in Santa Clara not San Fran.
Which is about an hour south.

And I was in Phoenix for the Final Four, it is not expensive at all.

Beautiful area as long as you stay out of the city. That is where you have issues.

Is San Fran that bad?
I've heard great things about their Financial District and Nob Hill area.

Wasn't that bad 10 years ago or even 5. Now the homeless have taken over, traffic is a total mess and it seems the locals do not care. Again, the area is beautiful and as long as you stay out of the city and surrounding area, it is a great trip. Monterey and Carmel are probably the most beautiful areas in the country. Give it time and they will ruin that also.

even in those areas I said?

I mean I live in NYC right now, people say there's a homeless problem but maybe I'm naive and don't pay much attention, or am going to different areas, but I just don't see it .

Of course I'm not hanging out in midtown (midtown east where the banks are/work), Financial District, Battery Park City or Tribeca, the Upper East side/park ave etc. I am not stepping foot in Time Square, but that's because it's a tourist hell hole.

The homeless problem in NYC is nowhere near that of SF. The big difference is the homeless in NYC try to blend into the background (like most large cities), those in SF are empowered to do whatever they want (and they do). The Homelessness in most of the country is due to mental illness or financial issues, those in SF do it as a life choice. The citizens pay for everything to feed them and to accommodate them. It is destroying the city.

Flying out tomorrow morning. Not sure on tailgating. Our hotel is about three miles away and has a shuttle to drop us at the stadium around 2
