Ballsiest OOC Schedule in the SEC - Award Goes to Tennessee

Since 2000, Tennessee has played:
@Notre Dame (2001)
Miami (2002)
@Miami (2003)
Notre Dame (2004)
@Notre Dame (2005)
Cal (2006) (When they were good)
@Cal (2007)
@UCLA (2008)
UCLA (2009)
Oregon (2010)
NC State (2012)
@Oregon (2013)
Considering the travelling involved in some of those away games, can any other SEC team match that kind of risk with their OOC schedule?

Damn didn't realize they traveled to all those places. Impressive.

I wish AU would do this type of OOC.

Pretty impressive.
I'd love for LSU to play Notre Dame.

SC had the hardest OOC schedule this year.
We played 2 OOC teams in the Top 16 and a Top 10 FCS team. Our easiest OOC game was against UNC who were still 6-6.

You didn't read the OP, so you really don't know what this thread is about.

I wouldn't mind UF doing it once in a blue moon either

I compared the two before posting. I'd rank LSU's 2nd.
Auburn was going strong with the USC and Georgia Tech games. West Virginia was good. Kansas State? South Florida? Wash State? No home and home? Ruined it.

My vote goes to Florida

South Carolina has tried to schedule a home and home with Notre Dame many times, but ND will not do it for some reason. We used to do it from time to time and they like to try recruiting down here - some of their best players used to come from SC, but they've ignored our attempts for the better part of 15 years now ... and it all started back again when Lou Holtz was here.
Still, I'd argue that it's not the travel that makes the OoC schedule the ballsiest for Tennessee ... it just makes them stupid.
SCAR and Florida, typically, play a tougher OoC opponent every year in Clemson and FSU than does Tennessee, in terms of ranked opponents. And then, for SCAR at least, we'll typically pick-up another respectable OoC opponent or two as we did this year in UNC and @UCF for instance ... so no, Tennessee does not play the ballsiest OoC schedule in the SEC, they simply illustrate their stupidity when scheduling teams out west (although I'd love to see us get SoCal back on our schedule) and their desperation to have to recruit out west in order to succeed.

UT also has home & homes scheduled with Oklahoma (in Norman 2014 and Knoxville 2015), USC and Ohio State for 2016/2017 and 2018/2019.

In the next decade we have home and home series with:
@Oklahoma
Oklahoma
@USC
USC
@Nebraska
Nebraska
Also Va Tech in nascar game
We did have a series with Ohio State line up in '18-'19, but osu cancelled

Great for traveling, hard to understand when pushing for a bowl game during a rebuilding phase.
I'd say like 60% of the fan base can't wait to make the trip to Norman, the other 40% want to buy it out and reschedule somebody else during the rebuilding phase.
