While Josh Rosen was telling people, how impossible it was to perform academically and athletically Josh Rosen While Skylar Mays has kept a 4.0 gpa in Pre-Med. Skylar Mays

College athletics was never supposed to be tied to professional sports. Now that it is, you hear of a Josh Rosen story every year. We have seen many examples of successful student athletes. Everybody is trying to make avenues to skip the college process. I am of the opposite mind. Require all four years if a scholarship is given. If they leave early, make them pay back all that tuition. It's about educating yourself and representing your school. Your path to the NFL/NBA/MLB should not be a priority for the school.

Disagree here.

They should be one year and renewed every year IMO.

What if you sign a guy and he's just absolute dog shite after his sophomore year?
You shouldn't be chained to him because you gave him a 4 year scholarship.

It's my understanding that for drugs like weed, when guys fail their tests and are suspended, it's like the 3rd failed test that had them suspended.

Could be wrong here, and this rule could have changed.

If this was the case, then they should not have to sit out a year and also have no restrictions where they can transfer.
This may keep kids from getting "processed".

I believe this is already the case by the way.

Most schools scholarships are one year renewable.

I think we may be the only school that offers 4 year scholarships (which I'm not a fan of)
I know this is old:

4.0 at UCLA Pre-Med
4.0 at LSU Pre-Med

One of these is not like the other.

Absolutely.

I hope the type student athlete that claims they didn't go a university to "play school" gets steered to this new league.

I wouldn't care if all the 4 and 5 stars bypassed college football and went into this "minor league" system. The talent level would decrease NCAA wide but fan support would not waiver

CFB would not skip a beat nor would the revenue decrease - the fans would still be the fans of the school.

tough tiddy... now collegiate athletics is its own microeconomy. The world revolves on money bro. pros pay boatloads of money. fans pay money to see good talent. you get players to the pros they make bank donate some back to the university your fans are happy cause #Winning mo Dollas flowing through the university Mo dollas for butterfly research.
