2 weeks in a row we have a major game in the B1G
last week, OSU v Penn State
this week, OSU v Michigan
2 weeks in a row we get a 12 EST / 11 CST kickoff
can you imagine the blowback if the Iron Bowl or WLOCP or any other huge game was scheduled for the early kick?
just more evidence that the SEC is not only better, but smarter than the other leagues

They claim it is for safety. Don't want people driving on ice at night...

Seem to be doing ok

The Big Ten Conference has established a new benchmark in the how-high-is-up world of college sports finance: It recorded nearly $759 million in revenue during its 2018 fiscal year.

In February, the Southeastern Conference reported just under $660 million in revenue for fiscal 2018, resulting in an average of $43.7 million being distributed to the 13 member schools that received full shares. Mississippi did not get a full share because its football team was banned from postseason play.

If they would just hike their leg a little people would care more.

The Game is always at noon. It was 3:30 once that I can ever remember(#1 vs #2 in 2006)

Have you ever been outside in Michigan on November 30th at night?

The Big 10 is in fantastic shape financially, but it’s deceptive to compare them to the SEC right now. The SEC is almost done with a long term CBS deal that’s absolutely killing them finically, and y’all just got your new deal in.

Sounds crazy but neither the horse shoe nor Michigan had stadium lights until around 2000. OSU used to rent lights in the 90s and Michigan did not play any night games at all period.

Considering that most SEC teams won't even schedule a day game in the Midwest in September, it rich that you want to see a night game in Ann Arbor on the last Saturday of November.
Besides, it's tradition. The traditional time of the Ohio State Michigan game has always been early afternoon, which is 12 noon EST now thanks to TV and was 1 PM EST long ago.
