The Talking heads on College Football Live got me thinking who would win the most in a hypothetical Big 10 East / SEC West challenge.

Assume each game played on a neutral site, 50/50 split of fans (I'm setting up games along rankings as I can)

Alabama v. tOSU
Auburn v. Penn State
LSU v. Michigan State
Mississippi State v. Michigan
aTm v. Maryland
Ole Miss v. Indiana
Arkansas v. Rutgers

Over/under the number of wins the West would get set at 5.5.

Do you go over or under?

I'd still pick over, but it would take winning a few toss up games.

I’d bet $5k on 7-0 right now without hesitation

Alabama v. tOSU (Tua would dominate)
Auburn v. Penn State (PSU darn near lost to App State)
LSU v. Michigan State (LSU is just better)
Mississippi State v. Michigan (Patterson can't save UM)
aTm v. Maryland (Maryland has no head coach and A&M has Jimbo)
Ole Miss v. Indiana (Ole Miss would score 50+)
Arkansas v. Rutgers (Rutgers may as well be FCS now)

The SEC would win every game by 2+ TDs

Depends on the day with Auburn to be honest. If Gus treats Penn State like he does with Alabama at the end of the year and blows his playbook load before he plays the end of the year opponent then yeah they’ll beat them. If he’s just playing regular Gus ball, then Auburn loses.

Everybody else is a win.

Big 10 could not even get a single team in the playoffs last year. SEC and the west, is King until it's not.

The SEC East would beat the B1G East head-to-head.

Do the math.

Don't let the B1G pundits try to make the B1G East all that, 'cause they're not.

Alabama v. tOSU - Ohio State would give us a game, but I'll say Alabama is too much. Ohio State is better without JT Barrett though.

Auburn v. Penn State - Auburn wins this comfortably. This isn't the same Penn State team from a year ago particularly on defense.

LSU v. Michigan State - Right now I'd pick LSU, but Michigan State has always grown over the course of the season under Dantonio.

Mississippi State v. Michigan - Sweat and Simmons would dominate the Michigan front. The Michigan defense would keep it close, but State wins.

aTm v. Maryland - I actually think Maryland when healthy is pretty good talent wise. This is the most toss-up game on the list for me.

Ole Miss v. Indiana - Indiana has a solid team this year, but the Ole Miss offense is the best unit on the field so I'd pick OM.

Arkansas v. Rutgers - Arkansas although I think Rutgers may have a surprisingly respectable year.

Besides Ohio State, the rest are legit garbage. Penn St and Mich St literally fought tooth and nail to beat Cupcakes. Michigan 9-9. Maryland beat a shite Texas team. Rutgers and Indiana are Rutgers and Indiana

SEC East would have a shot at 7-0

Its talking heads..., let the SEC keep doing what the SEC does and they can bitch about how many teams we have in New Years Day+ Bowls for another year.

I would rather see Ole Miss vs Michigan .. it would be quite sweet to see Shae Patterson and Michigan get pasted by the team that Shae bailed on.

After this past week, I don’t think you could guarantee the Big Ten East would have a winning record against the SEC East. Probably so, but here are the matchups. I wouldn’t guarantee it. SEC East gets 3 minimum.
Ohio State vs Georgia
Penn State vs South Carolina
Michigan State vs Florida
Michigan vs Missouri
Maryland vs Vanderbilt
Indiana vs Kentucky
Rutgers vs Tennessee
