Expect a bunch of “sources” from Big Ten and Pac-12 country to do all that they can to make sure that the SEC, ACC and Big 12 don’t play football this fall.

This is fricking pathetic.

Damn Yankee sumbitches need to keep their Kong Flu to themselves and their rotten, crime ridden cities.

I would pay to see the look on Kevin Warrens Face if we play and finish this season with no problems

It's all in how we handle the little bumps that pop up, if we deal with them or fold like a cheap finebaum suit.

Big 10 could recover eventually because of fan support but the Pac 12 will never be the same.

It may take the B1G a year or 2 but they will come back. The Pac12 might fold. They’ve been hemorrhaging money for a couple of years as is.

A lot of southern reporters will jump on the cancel bandwagon too. They’re going to cancel them selves and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving group of people.

It is a self imposed death penalty and recruiting sanction. With more confidence that this virus will still be around in Fall 2021, no top recruit is going to sign a NIL to a Pac 12 or Big Ten program in the upcoming recruiting cycle knowing they will be the least likely to play. This will hamper them for at least the next 4 years and affect their perception for the next 10 years minimum.

These university presidents live in an alternate universe where they think the world can just stop when something bad happens. They live in a world of guaranteed paychecks via tenure, massive buyouts whenever an administrator is fired, and government bailouts whenever budgets are mismanaged. They actually thought the rest of the nation wouldn't play either because they think the world is fair and that their personal conscience should dictate the choices of others.

why can't they be satisfied with their decision not to play? no, typical controlling luciferian freaks - you have to do what they do.

if they don't play because they are scared i'm fine with it. just don't tell me what to do. thank you very much.

Usually I think you posters are full of shite.

But MillerLiteTime actually resonated with me

It really was a self imposed death penalty and we saw what happened to SMU.

This is the beginning of an all out war between the P2 and P3.

P2 are now as invested in scaring everyone about the virus as the Dems and the media. "We need to shut everything down until there is a 100% effective virus" is their battle cry.

If the P3 start the season and real games start to be played, they'll be an open mutiny among the hard core fanbase in some BIG schools.

The will kill the BIG for the foreseeable future. This will finish off the P12. Are any of their fans or players even complaining?

From a 3rd tier reporter's speculation?

Simple: This tweet (which doesn't even claim to be based on any actual reporting, interviews, or facts) contains "just pulled this out of my arse" speculation that supports what many posters here already believe, therefore it must be true.

Yea. The sports “journalists” will be going nuts writing stories, giving interviews and podcasts tearing down the teams that are planning to play. Myocarditis is just the beginning. I still don’t see football happening with the reputation of schools in the Big10 and pac12 In Jeopardy.

You are on to something here. The power players in the Big Ten are currently gambling that the SEC won't actually kickoff on Sep 26 and the B10 leaders will look like the smart ones for being proactive instead of reactive. When the SEC kicks off Sep 26 with massive tv ratings and no players dead on the field, OSU, Michigan, PSU, and Nebraska will realize they have committed football suicide. Boosters will pull funding and recruits will de-commit in mass. You will then start to read media "leaks" of talk that the B10 could begin the season in mid October instead of January due to "newly available scientific data." The playoff committee will then announce they are pushing back the playoffs to late January and we will end up with a full season featuring all of the Power 5 teams with the possible exception of the Pac 12.

Excellent thoughts here. I would add that I see this all as very political. You cannot have this discussion without it becoming political.

...big 10 stepchild Rutgers just announced they have 30+ players that tested + for the 'rona in a conveniently timed coaches press conference.

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=rutgers+football+30+players+test+positive.&t=fpas&ia=web

what's more alarming is the coach announced in the same presser he had 85 football players test positive for being shitty at football.
