Really nice people. Even students have been really cool. Awesome bbq (Terry Blacks brisket) tons of bars, great live music and very few homeless. Pleasantly surprised by that.

Only downsides are construction everywhere downtown and I got conned to go watch bats fly out from under a bridge. Apparently it’s a big deal. They never flew out so left.

Been a great trip so far. Tomorrow is going to be fun!

But I was told by tRant that it was the biggest shithole on the planet. Glad you're having a good time.

Agreed that this is massively overrated.

Enjoy your trip and the rest of your weekend

Austin is a cool town. I love visiting friends that live there but I wouldn’t want to live there myself.

Some of the breakfast taco places are incredible, now I’m hungry

In fairness to aggy, they probably thought the contempt and disrespect they encounter in Austin would extend to other fanbases.

there was a homeless issue during covid for sure, as the city let people camp out, but that’s mostly all cleaned up

all visitors going to have a great time, it’s still a pretty cool and young city
