I think it's more of the fact that all of their main rivals are doing well at basketball at the same time, and they are inept.

I think anyone saying Donovan is doing so tongue in cheek. I don’t think any rational Alabama fan thinks he is an option.
Pitino is another story. We could get him easily but I’m not sure that Byrne would go that direction. For the record, I would love to have Pitino. He would bring instant excitement. And depending on transfers and keeping the recruiting class intact, would have us in the dance his first year.

I've never looked at the AU board and never will. We don't measure our success/failure based off anyone. It's simply based on our standards and Avery simply wasn't working out.

Going after Donovan probably is not realistic, unless someone in the know, knows he is unhappy in the NBA. With that said, it should be noted that Bama has went after coaches on the professional level on other occasions and has enjoyed a modicum of success. The board would melt should they land either one!

Could be the one time where both fan bases have to shut the frick up about it. Alabama fans couldn’t say anything after giving Auburn grief about hiring a coach on show cause. And Auburn fans couldn’t say anything because they did the same thing 5 years ago.
Another check in the “pros” column for Pitino.

You talking about the 8 poster circle jerk that is the Bama board? They certainly don't speak for all Bama fans. Some of us are older than the experts and insiders in there.
