Considering this is the SEC Rant, and people change their "favorite team" like the wind blows, I think I could.

In the grand scheme.. I believe it will always be thought of as a team that would have never been beaten by any team in the college landscape for the year it was in, but never be considered one of the greatest teams.
Cam + rest of team were simply too much for any team in a down year... but you were without question the best team in the nation and absolutely deserved the championship.
Most years... the person with the #1 ranking at the end of the year is likely not the ACTUAL best team. I think without question, this year... you guys were the best team.
I don't mean this in any other way than 100% honesty.
This year's auburn team doesn't truly stand up to some of the other "great" teams that have won the NC... but by God, they were the best in the nation this year.

But it will always be the most decorated team in the state of Alabama, EVER. Heck, it might even be in the SEC. Can someone name a team from the SEC with more awards than the 2010 Auburn Tigers?

2009 bama can't be too far off... AND they were a better team than 2010 auburn.

well . If Bama hadnt blown a 24 pt lead in one half of football they dont go so regardless of any call they benefitted from earlier in the season;
Couldnt you say the very same thing about Bama Championship? If Auburn would not have blown a big lead in the Iron bowl, you would not have gone?

So they obviously won the SEC, BCSNC, and Heisman Trophy- what else? Because if that is it, it is "far off."

Also, they probably weren't the first team to rely on biased officiating to get to the championship.
Biased officiating? Tell me where there was biased officiating in that game.
Geez, Arkansas fans can't do anything but blame the officiating. Well, what else are you supposed to do when you're as irrelevant in your conference as Arkansas is?
Kiss the ring.

What the frick is this? When the hell did auburn start caring about history? I've lived 29 years of life hearing nothing but history doesn't count, its the present from auburn fans? NOW you care? NOW? Please go away, your insanity makes my a-hole hurt. :doublebirdkissmyfatass:

That tells you right there what money will do. UT PAID for Vince, WE ALL KNOW THAT. If you live in Houston, you would know somethin about that. Secondly, IF AU didn't CHEAT, Maybe they would have another one or 2. OR maybe after the FBI is done, they will HAVE NONE!. Time will tell.

Awards
[edit]Conference
Following the victory in the SEC Championship Game, the conference named its award winners. Alabama swept the three major individual awards on the AP All-SEC team, with Mark Ingram named Offensive Player of the Year, Rolando McClain named Defensive Player of the Year, and Nick Saban named Coach of the Year.[202][203] In addition to Ingram and McClain, Javier Arenas (as a defensive back), Terrance Cody, Mike Johnson, and Leigh Tiffin were named to the AP All-SEC First Team.[202][203] James Carpenter, Colin Peek, and Arenas (as a return specialist) were named to the AP All-SEC Second Team.[202][203] Eight players were named to the Coaches' All-SEC First Team, including Arenas (as both a defensive back and return specialist), Mark Barron, Cody, Ingram, Mike Johnson, McClain, and Tiffin.[204][205][206] Julio Jones was named to the Coaches' All-SEC Second Team.[204][206] Nico Johnson, Barrett Jones, and Trent Richardson were named to the 2009 Freshman All-SEC Team.[207][208]
[edit]National
After the season, a number of Alabama players were named as national award winners and finalists. Mark Ingram became Alabama's first Heisman Trophy winner, with the closest margin of victory in the history of the award, over Stanford's Toby Gerhart.[209][210] Ingram was a finalist for the Maxwell Award and the Doak Walker Award.[211][212] Defenceman Rolando McClain won the Butkus Award and the Jack Lambert Award.[213][214][215][216] Other national award finalists included Terrence Cody (for the Chuck Bednarik Award) and Leigh Tiffin (for the Lou Groza Award).[211] Defensive coordinator Kirby Smart won the Broyles Award as the nation's top assistant coach.[217][218]
In addition to the individual awards, several players were also named to various national All-American Teams. Javier Arenas, Terrance Cody, Mark Ingram, Mike Johnson, Rolando McClain, and Leigh Tiffin were named to the AP All-American First Team and Mark Barron was named to the AP All-American Second Team.[219][220] Cody, Ingram, Mike Johnson, and McClain were named to the Walter Camp All-American First Team. Arenas and Tiffin were named to the Walter Camp All-American Second Team.[221] Arenas, Ingram, Mike Johnson, and McClain were named to the AFCA All-America Team.[222]
that's to name a few.
