Only 6 times in the history of The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry has the game been played outside of November....1892, 1915, 1920-21, 1927, and 1936.

Due to Auburn's bellyaching and carping about having to play Georgia & Alabama back-to-back -- even though they had a week off before Alabama -- they've destroyed the spirit of this rivalry like no other by whining to the SEC and asking that the game be moved.

Having always been played in mid-to-late November, the fall season in its full glory on the two campuses, the energy in the air, the magic, etc. Well, it's all gone, now. Thank you, Auburn.

I hope we paste your behinds 10 feet under the turf and then hike our legs to pee on y'all!

UGA blocked us from moving to the east.

That's so we could continue to beat your asses in the West and keep you from winning it over there.

Its what they do. They were never able to consistently beat Bama at a neutral site so they whined until half the Iron Bowls could be played in Auburn

When has Auburn played those two games B2B and/or when have they had a week off before the last game of the season?

It was the fact both UGA/UA games were either home or away each year, Auburn wanted it split up so in years they play UGA at home, they get Bama away, then UGA away, then Bama at home. And for some reason, this is how the SEC decided to handle it, which makes no sense at all. I don't even blame Auburn for this frickery.

I have never seen a bigger group of bitches than the UGA fans on here.

You guys have a team filled with 5 stars, have just about destroyed every team you've played, have as good a chance of staying on the field with bama as you've ever had and nearly every post is whining about Auburn...and then you make a post about Auburn whining.

Ironic. Dogs like to bark, I guess. (They also eat their own poo)

Auburn can't even keep the rivalry competitive. 2-8 over the last ten games.

You're a prissy little thing, aren't you? A UAB fan -- from Birmingham, no less.

It was to allow even home-away allocation for Texas A&M and Mizzou when they joined. I thought they should have played a year in Atlanta to keep the normal rotation going.

Incorrect, chameleon (who will you be next).

It was over, plain and simple, that AU (your team) wanted to stop playing us and Bama back-to-back. End of story. Now you can go change your favorite team back to Auburn in your settings.

ETA: Auburn STILL OWES UGA a home game that, through your whiniess, was taken away from us. We had to play you two years in a row @Auburn in 2012 & 2013.

2006 was the last time Auburn played Georgia and then Bama in consecutive weeks (without a bye week or FCS opponent).

They took away our rivalries with Tenn and FL when the SEC expanded. It happens. Things change. The Georgia Bulldog must be female because you are all a bunch of little bitches.

The SEC were the ones who pushed not to have a bye week before rivalry week. That is why you see trash games during that weekend before the Rivalry Games.
