Auburn’s 2019 success weighs heavily on the OL...

In the last decade, Auburn has had 70+ returning offensive line starts four times.
In all four of those seasons, Auburn either had a top-10 offense nationally, won the SEC West or pulled off both.
The Tigers return 104 offensive line starts in 2019.

FWIW, bill Connelly (who created the S&P+ efficiency rating systems) says there is very little correlation between OL returning starts and team success.

In y'all's (Auburn fan's) opinions, what record gets Malzahn fired, what buys him one more year, and what totally restores confidence in him as a HC?

Anything under 7 wins

8 wins = fired
9 wins = one more year

GusBus is safe as long as they win 6 games.
They don’t have the money to buy him out and hire another coach.

QB play gonna be a pretty significant factor as well.

Who will start at Qb for the Tigers?

Prob Gatewood to start but I could see Nix winning the job as the season goes along.

I don't think it has anything to do with wins. Our schedule is absolutely brutal. Auburn plays the West and the top two teams in the East. It all depends on how the team plays.

This could be said about any football program, especially if you are in the SEC

Agreed. The Oline will be a huge key for Auburn. You have the experience, so it will be up to them to lead the way. You will also need a young freshman QB to step up. Fromm showed it can be done, so it could be a special year for the Aubies.
