If I’m Auburn, I’m going all out for Deion right now.

Cadillac has more sense than Matt Luke had when he took the Ole Miss job. Respect for recognizing you’d do more harm than good.

That being said, Deion is not the answer

Cadillac is too good of a man for Auburn

Good for him. Dude is definitely a big time up and comer in the coaching world. Taking in too much, too fast, would probably end up being a major setback for him in the long run.

Deion is not the answer but I don’t see any other options out there that would excite me lol

Me too and keep Cadillac with him. The recruiting would be sick!

Really? I mean I respect him but he’s not even a threat to be an offensive coordinator anytime soon.

Deion and Caddy would be quite the experiment. Would definitely be uncharted waters.

You would think Auburn would have their ducks lined up in a row when they fired Harsin with the understanding that they have their guy ready to take the job.

Have you not watched our previous 3 coaching searches?

He took over a steaming dumpster fire of a program mid-season, and breathed new life into it, beat A&M, took MSU to OT, and made football exciting again after Auburn had lost all hope for anything by mid-season.

If he wasn't considered a big up and comer before, he damn sure is now.

Cadillac will certainly be a FBS head coach one day. Just needs a little more seasoning. He did a good job in a trying situation.

I am not sure the PTB at AU would put up with Deion all that long. But he's an interesting choice. In the end it will be Freeze and AU will be a threat in West with him.

Sounds like wishful thinking on the part of AU writers who’ve proven multiple times they don’t know Jack shite other than what they throw against the wall to see what sticks

In reality: that's a good, sensible approach by Cadillac who has a long coaching career ahead of him. This works out well for both him and Auburn.

How I'll choose to view it: LOL not even the interim coach wants the Auburn job. They are now 0-5 on candidates.

No. No, I would never think that about Auburn.

I will just say this. Anytime I heard of any teams coaching search that included, "you have to keep this or that coach if you accept", I laughed at that restriction. Not this time. You ride with Caddy on board or you don't ride.
