I totally understand the Freeze speculation/wanting of their booster. But how do you pass up a multi-championship coach in Urban.
Yes he's a cest-pool (freeze is also), but you cannot deny his coaching ability

The only thing keeping Urban from being Auburn is U.

Urban is taking a job with little competition. He’s not going into the heart of the beast to take on Saban

One of the few coaches (along with Dabo) that's fared pretty well in that matchup actually.

I think it is still too soon to give UM a shot. He will be a head coach again but it won't be till 2024 or later. The guy can coach college football. There is no denying that.

I think we'll contact Urban through back channels - but there is a 1% chance Urban to Auburn will happen.

I'm just glad Freeze didn't end up at U.T. I would have even preferred Petrino over him (competence and corruption without the self-righteousness). He needs to stay at Falwell U.

Gary Patterson would be a decent hire given what he was able to do at TCU. Nevertheless, AU would return to the staunch defenses that made the LSU series wonderful again
