Very few FCS coaches have been successful going directly to the P5 level.

Zero SWAC coaches have.

Has a SWAC coach ever even gotten a job beyond the SWAC?

It would be a huge gamble. Can Auburn afford that risk?

I gotta admit, I really want Prime to get a P5 job.

Auburn is just a good place as any other.

Just not sure why any big time coach would want the environment that is at AU with your boosters.

I’m not trolling or anything, Doesn’t it embarrass Auburn fans at how much their boosters control?

It is the biggest thing holding Auburn back from being consistent winners.

Hire him. Prove Harsin taught you nothing.

What are you talking about?! Harsin proved he was the best fit for the job and it went South instead.
Now let see what Sanders can do if he becomes the next Auburn HC. He may become successful, or he may not. Any HC will be a gamble.

Prime isn’t a normal SWAC or FCS coach.

He brings a bunch of credit and he’ll do great recruiting. He’s actually a really good X’s and O’s Coach as well. Could do a lot worse.

I remember when this board laughed Arkansas off the map for interviewing Sanders.

Everyone sees this wrong when they say, “Why would anybody want to coach at auburn?” Think about it, you succeed you look great. If you fail, you walk away with generational wealth.

Fact is this. Auburn and fans in general still do not grasp a simple aspect that Jimbo is proving to all.

It's not about the money. It's about the drive and connection to a university. TAMU purchased the finest class in the nation and possibly ever. What happened...?

It's in shambles.

Why... ?

This will be the same way.

So you are gonna double down on poor coaching hires? Primetime will be fired in year 3 and we will get to watch this all over again.

I hope they hire Deion. The dude is a clown.

It takes way more than recruiting to win in the SEC.

Go check out his history at Prime Prep. He got investigated by the IRS, FBI, DOE, Texas Dept of Education, the local DA and the Texas AG …… and the motherfricking Federal School Lunch Program.

People calling him a “CEO” type coach?
He’s a train wreck of an administrator.

Deion is winning in the SWAC because he has way better players than any team he plays. At Auburn that wouldn’t be the case. With that said let him go to auburn that’s a guaranteed win for LSU while he’s there.

Sanders would be a huge risk. No one knows if he can really coach. He has recruited well in a small pond but can he do it well nationally?

Huge risk ??!!! He’s 20-5 that would indicate he knows how to coach. This is a stupid post.

You guys got boatraced by Bryan Harsin last year. Slow your roll.

And then we hired a top 5 coach in college football. Let’s see what Auburn does.

Come on.. Could Saban win at Ms St vs Bama every week?

That's what you are failing to grasp. Nobody in SWAC has the talent Sanders does. Hell, there are D1 schools that don't.

He's not playing an SEC schedule week to week. He is the BAMA in SWAC beating up on High schools.

How else can that be said?

Do you see a scenario where Deion could have a talent advantage over the rest of the SEC while at Auburn?

That’s the point. Coaching and developing has to be a major factor in any SEC hire. Recruiting alone will not get it done.

Man. How many coaches have to have already said, "No!"

Probably enough for Auburn AD and boosters to go the Harsin route all over again!
