If we hire Deion Sanders after being a head coach at Jackson St for 3 years, we deserve all the pain that will ensue. Didn’t he get in a fight at midfield this year? It would be Jimbo on Steroids

That’s bait.

Then they’re dumber than I thought and that says a lot considering the hire they just fired. Deion may be a great coach at a P-5…..when he gets some more experience under his belt. The guy has never done anything at a P-5 in the way of position coach, coordinator, or even an analyst. And he’s always going to keep Tallahassee under that same belt as an option. Please hire him. It will ensure more mediocrity. Sanders knows the cluster frick that is Auburn could also keep him from Tallahassee should he not be successful….so for that reason, I believe he turns the job down.

Not really. You really don't see how this is gonna end? It's like a TV show, you can see the disaster coming a mile away.

You're giving Miley Cyrus the keys to your company. Sure he's gonna make headlines with his antics in the beginning, but it'll eventually wear off and devolve into a dumpster fire.

Auburn's boosters mixed with Dieon Sanders, that'll be a cartoon as show...it'll end up with them trying to run him off and him suing the school for discrimination. It can't end any other way.

I mean he can work in a more stable situation, but Auburn is the loud family in the trailer park who's always having domestic issues.

It's like inviting Kanye West on the Jerry Springer Show.

Auburn would steal many recruits from Bama/Clemson/UGA for a while (several years), and then it would backfire on Auburn. So basically, it would hurt all major programs located in the region...

Prime Time would be an instant boost for Auburn. So big that if they get him on the hook immediately he could flip a ton of stars and haul in a top 10 class for ‘23. He’s that dynamic and that big of a super star.

I see Sanders as a high risk/high reward candidate. The upside, as you laid out, is the dynamic talent he’d bring immediately. The risk though is, while he’s been wildly successful at Jackson State, he is still very inexperienced as a coach.

Sanders would be a huge risk. No one knows if he can really coach. He has recruited well in a small pond but can he do it well nationally? Personally I hope au gets him. He would be a flash in the pan and then hard to get rid of.

Prime isn’t Nicki McCray by any stretch of the imagination,

He is. Both were professionals in their sports. Neither have a lot of experience in coaching.

Not having experience has never been considered a good thing. Ever.

Nothing has changed. You still have to build programs. Jimbo Fisher says HELLO!

Sooo is Dieon a CEO type of coach?

Could work out if he hires good coordinators and let’s them do their thing.

I would LOVE for AU to make this hire. This is the only hire that could make things worse for them.
Make the move cow college.

Is he really gonna just dump the entire HBCU thing he’s been pushing?

Yes, Deion acts more in a CEO capacity and the staff he brought in at JSU is pretty decent considering they are making what SEC analysts make.

Wow, a gump is projecting his racism.
Unfortunately it’s Halloween and my fellow brethren have pulled out their white sheets tonight in a few threads.
It’s a real shitty look, IMO.

There is a perfectly respectable, rotund, Youngstown Tough coach just right up the road. You should talk to him. Maybe over a steak.
