I didn't know Auburn was rich. The guy had less than 2 million left on his contract.

How many fired athletic dept/administrators personnel does Auburn still have on its payroll?...seems like a lot.

No he had a little over 3 million on contract left(there were bonuses). Basically he got paid two years of salary on top of a contract to leave

I gotcha. I think it also may have had something to do with the deferred compensation he was getting over leaving Iowa State. See near the bottom of this article.
