Downtown Dallas/Uptown:
-mostly hair gel/Melrose place types hang out here.
- Although, I think you might enjoy the Katy Trail Ice House, it;s a fun patio on a trail.
---Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum is the famous barbq spot but It will crowded. Deep Ellum is a little more eclectic than Uptown.
--The JFK stuff is MEH.
Ft Worth: From what I know about your fanbase(friendly, gentile) this might be more your cup of tea. Gameday will set up in Sundance Square
Stadium Area:
--There's a walmart across the street to load up on supplies but expect to wait in line if you venture in there.
--If you don't feel like setting up a tailgate, I would checkout Texas Live. It's a big sports/entertainment complex with food stands, restaurants, bands and enormous TVs so you can root on your SEC brethren going to battle against the ACC(or at least root for the fighting Muschamps against CEO Mack Brown).
Make our conference proud !!!!

A lot of those spots are way too far from Arlington but all good options. I don’t think Auburn is traveling as well as they usually do for this game but I’m sure they will represent the school and conference well.

What's the point of playing this game if there's not a good tailgate area?

The entire area surrounding the stadium is prime tailgating land. It connects to the Rangers stadium so it is an endless amount of space.

Arlington is way better now that it has Texas Live.
Skip uptown and Deep ellum, i would suggest Knox-Henderson/Lower greenville/lakewood area.
Fort worth is full of people pretending to be cowboys that arent really cowboys, not all that bad of a town though.
Plano and frisco are pretty fun as well.

I second checking out the Lower Greenville / Knox Henderson area. Y'all should check out HG Supply, The Truckyard, Stan's Blue Note, and The Skellig.

The Flying Saucer is down by where College Gameday will set up in Sundance Square. It has a HUGE selection of good beer
Flying Saucer
If it's open, Myself, my wife, and a couple friends will be there Saturday morning.
If you see a tall guy wearing UGA gear with a shorter guy wearing Mizzou gear, come up and say hello. It would be great to have a beer or two with some of y'all

Agree with pretty much everything everyone has said. If you plan to jump from one area to the next, plan accordingly because some of these places are a good ways from one another. Dallas has lots of hipsters and $50k millionaires, whilst Ft Worth has hipsters and pseudo-cowboys. Arlington will be all football fans tailgating.

Dallas metro is a lost world of concrete, strip malls, freeways, power lines, and cookie cutter subdivisions infested with Texas asshats.

quote:What? There's tons of tailgate space all around the stadium. And a great bar to hang out and drink/watch games on TV before, Tailgate Tavern is right beside the stadium.
