I’m an outsider obviously, but Gus averaged almost 9 wins a season and has more success against Saban than anyone else.

Knowing Saban has NEVER lost to a former assistant, if you do hire Sarks what are your expectations, 10 wins a season and a winning record vs Saban?

Whatever coach takes the job knows that he will be fired and paid a massive buyout.

True - outside of 3-5 record vs. Saban

what has he accomlished?

A SEC title in his first year - 2013 -what of significance has he done since? Won 1 SEC West Divsion title ?

MAYBE actually win 1 single game in Athens, Baton Rouge, or Tuscaloosa (something Gus never did)...lets start with baby steps and move from there

Winning at one of those places are not baby steps by any stretch

While the above is true, and Saban has never lost to a former assistant, he's also never played one in JHS.

For the record, I was one of the very first people on the Gus Bus and one of the last to get off. I love Gus for the moments he brought us, for the person he is, and his general goofiness. That said, I think it was time for a change.
