They tempted the football gods with those cigars and they’ve been paying for it ever since.

Both have spoiled seasons for each other for sure.

It’s a great rivalry.

Gene Chizik and Gus destroyed what Tuberville and Dye accomplished in terms of tightening the all time record.

I feel like LSU is always the most physical game we play.

It's very impressive that AU has such a huge lead against its two biggest rivals when both teams are ranked.

It's 10-14, .588 when both Bama and AU are ranked.

2 games make it .500. AU's probably had 5 flukes.

Bama is 32-15 vs AU when Bama is ranked. AU's had 1 unranked team beat a ranked Bama team.

AU is 25-16 vs Bama when AU is ranked. Bama's had 5 unranked teams beat a ranked AU team.

Ranked vs ranked vs AU is one area where Bryant bests Saban.

Bryant 6-2 when both ranked, Saban 3-4.

In 3 of Saban's 4 losses Bama missed 32 FGs :-), had 2 pick 6's and one kick 6, one fumble that rolled 40 yards along the sideline out of the end zone, a pop fly that the Bama DB couldn't lift his injured arm to make game-changing int that turned into an AU 70+ yd TD, etc. I guess that is a way of partially compensating AU, a top 15 type program, for being overshadowed by college football's top program.

Historically the answer is yes. Cost us a NC (1988) Earthquake game. Last three years we have lost all three times by a TOTAL of 8 points and should have won twice. (2018 Refs helped LSU).

It shouldn't. Our down years we're still usually ranked like last year.

AU-UGA have played 117 games (both ranked 23 times)
AU-UA have played 83 games (both ranked 23 times)

There's a team in that grouping that doesn't field ranked teams enough.
