I don't think she's disabled. She just looked like a girl walking around with a dog from what I've read.

Those guys would have never disrespected that girl if they had known she was a veteran and if they had known her dog was a service dog.

I think the issue here is if they weren't entitled assclowns they wouldn't be harassing random people. I don't see why it would matter if they knew she was a vet and it was a service dog. They shouldn't be harassing people regardless of that persons status. Typical gus players

this girls problems are not combat related. bringing up her military service is strictly designed to generate more sympathy than a regular person would get

point is they shouldn't be harassing students no matter what the status of the student is. I don't see any reason to yell shite at other students. I don't walk over to the art building and start calling all the liberal art students names. Then again I'm not a piece of shite. Gus should be a better role model and teach his players about public image.

Should I direct my faux outrage here or on the other thread?

I'm trying to understand how auburn fans are defending these pieces of shite based on them not knowing it was a service dog. I wouldn't be defending LSU players that did this to a normal student. Im not saying they need to be kicked from the team but I don't see why this action should be defended.

What does the dog help her do? I can think of many scenarios where it's really easy to spot a service dog. I'd never mess with a dog aiding a blind person. But this situation seems different.

Messing with a dog like the players did is just part of being personable. Their reaction was poor, but the girl's military career, PTSD, and service dog have NOTHING to do with any of this. Just words to get clicks and attention.

These guys were dicks because they didn't get what they wanted. And we're probably a little thrown off when this girl reacted like she did. Without knowing anything about her situation, she probably came off as a dick.

The players need to know that's it's better to be respectful of others. The girl needs an apology and to know that she's still safe and welcome at Auburn.

And that's it. This is a 1/10 on the big deal scale.

the fact fthat you continue to act as if this is some big deal is laughable considering tpos thugs your own school has taken and kept.

this girl obviously has some severe mental and emotional problems based on the interview linked in this thread. wouldnt surprise me if the issue was worse in her mind that it was in reality.

the fact that malzahn apologized doesnt mean much either. probably a better public relations move than getting in a public debate about whether the incident was really as bad as she claims.

bottom is little will likely happen to these players and little probably should happen to them. for a bammer of all people to suggest otherwise is laughable considering how your own football program has embraced far worse thugs

Do you have comprehension problems? I'm really serious here. Where the hell did I say something was otherwise? A (probable) misunderstanding between students at Auburn is enough for you to go on a rant about Alabama? To say that I should have no opinion (even if taking no side whatsoever) because I am a "bammer" is ludicrous, then again, that is the nature of this board these days - we get the lowest of the low who do not have the mindset to see beyond the field or the court, or even the team colors of a school.

Probably because all this faux outrage is coming from a Facebook post from a veterans garage sale. I'll reserve my judgement until I hear somebody else corroborate her story.

doesn't look like she is safe or welcome at auburn. Gus should teach his players to not act like retards while wearing their football gear. They should learn that when you are wearing an auburn football jersey you rep more than yourself but the entire team. I don't really see a reason to act like assholes to fellow students. Even at 18 i didn't see a reason to harass other people.

According to the video, it's there to help her anxiety around strangers. Stands in front of her when talking to people, stands behind her in the check-out line, gets in her lap when she's nervous, etc.

so football players harassing a normal student would be ok? IMO the action of harassing another student is the issue not the fact that the student was a vet. why embarrass the rest of the team and put your coach in a position to have to issue an apology.

you don't always have to wear the orange and blue shades and defend every action of some retarded 18 year old. its ok to say that it was a stupid move on their part instead of attacking the victim.

You must have been really shaken when LSU players were terrorizing the public while practicing their MMA skills. Maybe even to the point of questioning your fandom, no?

How the frick do you know what really happened? All have have seen is one very biased first person account from a person who is clearly troubled.
They may very well have been harassing her, but who really knows aside from her, them, or anybody else who witnessed it. If they did, then they are idiots but to make a federal case out of a Facebook post is ridiculous.

I said that JJ should have been kicked off the team. I just don't see why its so hard to say that the kids fricked up. Gus needs to have a orientation for his players and tell them not to be dicks to fellow students while wearing your football gear.

You're an LSU fan right?

It's ironic for sure.
