Surely there is someone in Alabama who can pull some strings and get the Auburn football program shutdown

who cares? it is laughable that a bammer would comment on this subject at all when your football program currently has players charged with a combined 3 felonies for participating in physical assaults on students at their own university

I have no idea about this story, but I have recently seen in Atlanta area, two "service dogs" that were T-cup poodles that their owners were literally dragging on a leash through the store behind them. On two different occasions I saw this.

First one, I laughed a little and asked the owner if their animal was really a service dog? What service were they performing? I guess thats an ignorant question, but the only service dogs I've ever seen or heard of were large breed dogs that helped blind and disabled people.

This has been covered, but it was likely a therapy dog. It is somewhat controversial. Though I believe it has merit. Like service dogs as you mentioned it needs some sort of regulations. That was hard to say because I am not someone who is a regulations guy, but there is no real standard to determine a therapy dog and there is little if any science to support their value in treatment.

This is an interesting sociological situation. I wonder how many supporters of disabled veterans would be less motivated to support a sexually harassed woman with PTSD, and how many feminists would be less motivated because she's a veteran, and how many of all of us are colored by her university affiliation.

It kinda is for some I guess - the bottom draggers here among us. I'm not colored by university affiliation outside the lines at all. Disability rights is something I know quite a lot about however, and that is where this discussion should lie. Not about football.

Make it about Alabama. The Auburn way.

Alabama has nothing to do with this buddy. Just your sad pathetic POS players

What the hell? What did I say to you to offend you?

I comment on a story, not laying blame to anyone, especially the football program, and you have a problem with that?

Get a grip dude.

Think I'll change my O/U on what percentage of your posts are about Alabama/UGA to 95. I'll still take the over.

Im failing to see their actions as being expell worthy. I also don't buy that if any regular student did this they would be gone. Get in trouble sure. Not kicked out though. Make the players apologize in public. Go do some charity work and run till you puke, then run more. Problem solved.

This x 10000.

This whole alleged incident sounds like nothing more than a misunderstanding and an over reaction. Educate the guys on what PTSD is, and how it affects a person's life and personality. This entire incident requires a public apology and nothing more IMO.

Why run them till they puke? Why kick them out of school or off the team? I doubt a handful of 17-20 yr olds even know what the hell PTSD is and how it originated in the first place.

Folks are making too big of deal out of this. I HATE the damn off-season so bad.

they should be kicked off the team they cussed and bullied an innocent girl that was just trying to attend classes. They only want to apologize because they are being forced to. I don't know if they are good players or not because that is not the issue it would suck if it were my team but they should still be kicked off the team.

Or better yet, educate them about the disorder and issue a public apology - that should be fine.

Like I said before, I'm sure there are University policies in place at the school (like any school or place of employment) that handles these things internally.

Do you think those guys knew she was a veteran? Do you think they even know what PTSD is and the effect it has on an individuals personality and their ability to cope with the public?

Obviously people with PTSD over react. But how were the guys supposed to know she had the disorder, that she was a veteran, or that her dog was a service dog?

All a MISUNDERSTANDING nothing more.

Who is that?

He was the guy at Georgia that was involved in a check cashing scheme in order to double dip on their stipend checks and he was also removed from the team after committing domestic violence by choking his girlfriend out.

He is currently part of the Alabama football team.
