We need players.
I wish we had 25, 5 star recruits divided between offense and defense with future NFL hall of famers at every position.
But we did not finish second in the west so we will have to develop players and try to compete.

Gus got fired precisely because of this. No doubt in my mind he would have gotten a free COVID year if his recruiting had stayed where it always was (around top 10). Allen Greene wanted to nip that shite in the bud before things went totally off the rails and I am glad for it.
But no recruits were allowed to visit campuses this year and it really fricked AU more than most others. You see, when our bagman doesn't get to see the recruits personally and give them a handshake, things don't go well.

I was starting to forget how soft Sumlins recruits played on defense. We were charmin soft. Glad Jimbo cleaned house but took a few years.
