Jacobs was never hired or qualified to be anything other than Bobby Lowder's yes man. When Lowder lost his influence it left our AD without anyone in charge and our sports programs have been in a downward spiral every since. Jacobs hired a search committee to hire the basketball coach so he gets no credit for what looked like a good hire at the time. Chizik was a shitty hire that got lucky and inherited a Tuberville defense and in a stroke of non shittiness combined that defense with a Gus Malzahn offense + 1 Cam Newton.
I can see why a Bama fan would feel that way.
