without knowing all the facts so perhaps this is not valid - is that I don’t think it is a classy thing to terminate a coach midseason. These guys are making good money but they’re often just getting starting so being out of a job for months until the next hiring season in December through February is screwing up their own finances and their families.
I’m almost completely certain he gets his full contracted salary for 2021 - unless he did something blatantly illegal, which I have no reason to believe he did.

In fact, this al.com article indicates he will receive his $300k salary for this year and next, unless he catches in somewhere else.

So while it’s certainly not a “classy” thing to do, he’s not exactly going to be begging for spare change outside Hoover Stadium on Friday nights.

There had to be a really good reason to do this. Either coaching incompetence, personal reasons, or he was undercutting Haslin.

Agreed. What an utterly classless move by Harsin otherwise

L Ron Harsin considered him to be a suppressive person

Fair enough but this stuff could hurt his future in the field. I bet it will not because he is an in-state guy who will land on his feet at Troy again or Jax State, UAB, USA, etc. Still. It is not the high class way to handle this (with all my caveats about not having the entire truth).

White coach fires black subordinate to hire white buddy.

If there's not a good reason for this, it's going to look really bad from a PR/lawsuit standpoint.

Nobody knows why Corn was ultimately fired either. Sure the WRs have been bad, but we don't know of that's why he's gone or not.

1)There was a reasonn Capers and Canion were not playing in the first 3 ganes then appeared in the 2nd half Sat.
2) if you disagree with the HC thats fine but there is a proper way to do it. Young man made a serious mistake that forced coaches hand.
3) Bobo and Harsin have not been happy with the alignment, route spacing and felt the position coach was not being truthful about the
position group.
3) message sent to Staff… develop the players and be accountable or you are out.
Same way in the business world!

WRs dropped 11 catchable balls against Penn St. Dropped 9 against GA St. Fire the WR coach, Bench the WRs and send hitmen after their families and close friends.

Dang, something like this is definitely out of the ordinary. The replacement was Boise’s OC, he comes with Harsin to be an analyst and ends up the WR coach in no time. Well, anything to help those QBs look better.

It’s funny you think this is true, but the Qb was benched too you idiot. Harsin isn’t putting up with BS, it’s not a great sign but it’s also not bad. It’s good he’s cleaning house of any BS. Put up or shut up.

Unless he did something fricked up with the NCAA, you just reassign him quietly and let him know he needs to have a plan for what he’s going to do to exit during bowl season

Unless Brian is still trying to gut the ‘Wiregrass’ out the beast and Chette Williams / Wayne Hall are up to their old tricks.

Also he had someone he trusted and knew on staff, so he made a change.
