Ok schedule, I like how Bama is going to start playing two power 5 nonconference games a year.
Auburn needs to do the same.

They’re too chicken to play the Gus Bus.

With the current setup, Auburn has Alabama, LSU, Georgia, aTm and a P5 opponent as major matchups every year through the end of the decade. While Alabama's schedule is similar, the tradeoff between Georgia and Tennessee is significant enough that -- given where all of these teams are right now -- Auburn would have to be a little bit crazy to add another major P5 team to that schedule.
I know there was a thread about this earlier, but are any of the other Big 6 scheduling two out-of-conference P5 teams in the same year besides Alabama?

Interesting matchup. Looks like they haven’t played each other since the ‘80s.

Georgia has scheduled three P5 games in the coming years. This includes Tech. Florida will play 4 (!!) P5 non conference games in 2031.

I would venture to guess at least two will be rescheduled

I think once the new playoff system is approved, all these schedules will be changed.

They may have to if Arizona State doesn't have a football team by that point.

I hadn't really thought of that, but you're probably right.
A lot of these games were added due to the current playoff system structure, IMO.

Seems like the sort of weird game AU would lose while Gus was around.

Absolutely. Although he was better at the early games than the later ones

Idk if it does matter; you'd want to toughen up the schedule to prepare for longer playoffs knowing that a loss doesn't end your season. In fact, with the CFP as it is you could argue the softer P5 schedules help teams (see: Clemson/ND)
