So it turns out that a perineal underachiever and a perineal #4 can’t carry an entire conference by themselves.
Tamu fans should be dunking all over horns and sooners about having to come knocking hat in hand.

A&M is a perennial underachiever and the perineum of the SEC.

Pay attention kids, this is what happens when you do drugs in the early parts of your life.

Oh A&M and Mizzou's coattail riders have been dunked on plenty for all the butthurt nonsense they spewed for years about both schools leaving the Big 12, only to later come crawling back to their old conference mates.

This is their admission that we were right the entire time. We clearly didn't need them. They were wrong. Now they get to eat all those words from the last decade.

Now, since the narrative here has always been that we ran away from the whorns, does that now mean the whorns are running away from Kansas?

A&M did put one over on us, the allure of playing for the lone Texas team in the SEC + a good recruiter in Jimbo has put them in a good spot, no question. Credit where credit's due.
As for the reason, they'll claim it was that Deloss was mean to them (fair), or that we took the money ESPN threw at us for the LHN (each school would've done the same).
The real reason those four schools left was that they had (a) all wandering eyes before the Big 12 even formed, and chose to act on those desires when (b) they couldn't stomach their records vs. the big two in Big 12 play.
Texas vs. Colorado: 7-3 (7-1 since 2000)
Texas vs. Nebraska: 9-1 (6-0 since 2000; note that Nebraska was the first domino, suiciding their program due to this)
Texas vs. A&M: 11-5 (9-3 since 2000)
Texas vs. Missouri: 7-2 (7-1 since 2000)
Texas vs. all: 34-11 (29-5 since 2000)
Oklahoma vs. Colorado: 6-3 (6-1 since 2000)
Oklahoma vs. Nebraska: 7-4 (7-2 since 2000)
Oklahoma vs. A&M: 11-5 (10-2 since 2000)
Oklahoma vs. Missouri: 8-2 (7-1 since 2000)
Oklahoma vs. all: 31-14 (30-6 since 2000)
For a total of Texas/OU vs. all 4: 65-25 in Big 12 play, but an abusive 59-11 since 2000! This is the real reason. OU and Texas, who were dogshit in the 90s, flipped the script on 3 90s powerhouses (Missouri was obviously just happy to tag along). These programs couldn't handle their fall from grace.
And yes, there are certainly parallels to Texas now: we likely wouldn't be moving had we had some modicum of success in the last decade.
That said, I'm happy A&M moved, because now instead of a home slate against a bunch of midwestern schools, we'll be playing schools of pedigree. Looking forward to what's to come, my future SEC pals.

You can make up all the scenarios you want but only one counts.

Attaboy.
It’s true, and you should be thanking R. Bowen Loftin for telling Deloss Dodds to go pound sand.
All that talk about 4D chess during the 2010-2012 period turned out to be complete horsesh*t… just like the Ags explained it to you back then.
