A&M beat LSU so thoroughly and repeatedly that LSU pulled the most chicken shite move in the history of college football and backed out of the contract because their fan base believed they couldn't build a winning program starting 0-1 every year. I don't consider LSU a rival because their entire identity is based on their inferiority complex. Having something that pathetic as a rival is reserved for Ole Miss type programs.

Hope you’re gonna be ok.

Not really, we don't have any history with each other, besides being forced to play on rivalry week.

This crap again? It was due to changing scheduling and the need for another home game. But then again, I'm sure the former A.D. had a reason to lie years later. And the Aggies would never put forth a false narrative like that LSU never paid them:

“I inherited a 10-year contract with LSU and Texas A&M, which is unusual. You don’t see that a lot,” explained Joe Dean Sr., LSU athletic director from 1987-2001, in a recent interview.

“What happened, and I was responsible for it to be honest, was we went from seven league games to eight league games,” Dean continued. “And it put a strain on us when we had to go there (to College Station). We needed that extra home game for financial reasons.”
Here's a nola.com article: LINK
quote:

That move sparked some friction between the schools, which contributed to them not renewing the series. With the SEC going to a divisional format and eight conference games in 1992, then-LSU Athletic Director Joe Dean said he couldn't afford to give up one of three non-conference home games every year. "You've almost got to have seven home games to pay the bills," Dean said. "That's all it was. Some of the A&M people felt because we were losing to them we didn't want to play anymore.

"It was peaceful, friendly. It wasn't ugly. I thought we'd wait a few years and reschedule them when we could manipulate the home-and-home series with the SEC."

And let's not forget that the Aggies basically begged LSU to not end the contract:
quote:

Crow had a different point of view. "I said, 'Get out of another (game)' because this game means too much for us,'" Crow said. "We would sell the stadium out for LSU. Them and Texas were only ones we did that."
But I guess he has so many reasons to bother lying in 2011.

Lol,they wish they could consider us a rival. They are our easiest game each year in the conference. They consider LSU their daddy not their rival.

Not much of a rivalry if one team has never beaten the other

Projection is the process whereby one subject believes they see attributes in another. The theory views this tendency as a defense mechanism whereby their own unenviable or unpleasant traits, impulses or ideas are attributed to another. In this way, the projector is able to avoid the unpleasantness in themselves.

Cannot believe that LSU feelings are so fragile.

Come on, gain some confidence.

Bahahaha you think LSU paid A&M for breaking the contract?!?! Laughable. Your broke arse program has never paid A&M for the breach of contract.
