Sewell Thomas needs attention more than Coleman. Hell, Bama just needs a new baseball stadium but that probably won't happen anytime soon because the athletic department doesn't want to pour money into it because baseball isnt very popular but a new stadium may be the kick it needs.

Rumors are they are building a new baseball stadium on the Black Warrior River on the Bryace Hospital property they just purchased a year or so ago. Would be pretty cool.

That would be pretty cool. I love what the city has done with the River Walk. The Aquatic Center here is pretty bad. Have you ever been in the weight room there? It's like a fitness museum.
It would be awesome if UA BOT ever pulled the trigger and did it. It took years to get through the red-tape to finalize the purchase of the Bryce land. Maybe my grandkids will see it come to fruition.

There is currently some construction going on behind the right field of Sewell-Thomas. What are they doing?

Coleman got a recent face-lift and it looks better. We desperately need a new baseball stadium - Mal is well aware of the need and the project is in the planning stages. It'll be first class when they finally decide to release the funds. I love the idea of placing the stadium on the river front - it would be a great venue and a nice atmosphere for baseball.

"IF" Anthony Grant can put a decent/competive basketball team on the court consistantly starting (hopefully next year,) then UA needs to address Coleman.

I hate this reasoning.

So you are a supporter doing things the Auburn way? Spent +$90mm on the new Auburn Arena (which is fantastic IMO) but the damn coach puts shite on the court game after game?

That's a lot of money to pour into a facility that isn't even the one that needs immediate attention (Sewell) at UA.

Ive heard rumors that Saban is wanting the administration to build a baseball stadium elsewhere and build a new athletic building in its spot so that the current athletic department building can become a football-only building.

Auburn needed a new arena. We need a new coliseum. Our track and swimming sucks, but they need new places as well. If we are going to fire Grant, then now would be a great time to announce plans for a new arena.

I think how good a team is and how much money you put into their facilities should not be related. Our baseball team sucks arse, but everyone is asking for a new stadium.

If they build a new baseball stadium by the river, then there's a good spot to build a new arena.

I heard rumors that Saban gets whatever the phuck he wants.

All kidding aside, you better believe Saban has a say in the future planning of the athletic facilities.

The idea is great IMO - just build the new baseball stadium out on the Black Warrior and let NS do whatever he wants with the leftovers. It's a win-win, we get a great venue for baseball and Saban gets what he wants for football.

The PMAC has sentimental value, but truthfully, if we had the space, I'd demolish it and build a new basketball arena.

The Maddox Field House is not a suitable place for indoor track meets. Our tracksters deserve a lot better.

The tennis stadium is a dump, but I could care less what happens to it.

The Natatorium is falling apart. It could use a good remodel.

The Huey Long Field House has absolutely fallen to shite. Which is sad, because that building has a great layout.

Personally, if it were me, I would demolish the PMAC and demolish the natatorium, build a new PMAC where the natatorium and fields are...and reconstruct the track stadium to run perpendicular to Tiger Stadium so it takes up less space and we can eventually add on to the north side.

Either that, or leave the track stadium, demolish the PMAC, Demolish the natatorium & rebuild, and build a new basketball arena where the old Alex Box Stadium was.

UK just did T&F but look at it in relation to the baseball field. I would actually like if they moved the entire football facilities to the other side of Cooper and redid a combo baseball / softball complex where CH, Nutter, and the practice filed is now. That way you would have Tennis, Swimming, Baseball, Softball, and Track & Field all in the same cluster. Instead UK is moving Soccer and Softball to BFE where a football practice facility and practice field made so much more sense.

I would say the O'Dome but it is getting a major renovation.

After that, the baseball stadium needs shade.
