How does UF have less of a cause than Auburn?

yes but mixed reviews. An O with Cam and it works. An O with what he has had the last few years and it does not work. Au has not had back to back 9 win seasons in how long?

Objectively speaking, Auburn does not belong on that list. They have virtually no shot

UF finished top ten, is in the top ten, and has no chance of winning the SEC...but Auburn and LSU do?

We were better than LSU and Auburn last year. Auburn doesn't even have a QB and their coach is on the hot seat.

UF has new faces on the OL and in the secondary. They’re not winning the east. If anybody shocks the world and steals the east from UGA it’ll be Missouri with their favorable schedule but UGA will need to lose 2 or 3 games.

Hard to say who's been doing what the last few years. We will find out this year because we know he's calling the plays now.

His offense led the nation in rushing with a converted DB under center. That team also had an amazing RB and a veteran line. We still don't have an elite RB, but we do have mobile QBs and a veteran line.

Well, I can't say you were "better" than LSU... Fla won a close game at home.
LSU also finished top 10 and starts out there, and the Fla (and Auburn and A&M) games are in BR this year. If you put a gun to my head and said pick those, I take LSU this season.

Auburn- they're just weird that way, people have said that a lot this preseason. You think they're looking at 7-5 and they go on a big run. You think they're a playoff contender, and they collapse.

Biggest thing, I think, is the Alabama factor. Georgia is the only East team I can see beating them in Atlanta, and that's still a stretch. Meanwhile, LSU and Auburn have a chance to slip by them in the regular season, and wouldn't have to play them again. I think they could beat any East team.

Our secondary has all starters returning but Gardner...replaced by a guy who started five games last year. It's easily a strength, not a weakness

Gus got it going vs. your $75 mil coach last year in the 4th quarter.

Okay so if LSU or Burn slip by them in the regular season

Then UF doesn't have to beat Bama in the title game. So how does that logic work? You are claiming Auburn or LSU could win the West. If they do, then Florida would play Auburn or LSU, not Bama. So we wouldn't have to beat Bama. We would have to beat two teams we are perfectly capable of beating on a neutral field.

Nope, just two teams. Bama or Georgia will win it.

Auburn has a QB, OL and head coach issue.

LSU has a OL and head coach issue.

Auburn and LSU will be the same as they were last year, get blown the hell out by Bama.

Georgia has two new cords, and neither are exactly known as amazing. They are also a QB injury from being a 8-4 team. Georgia has more questions than a lot of people are thinking it seems. Two new Cords. Relatively inexperienced staff overall when compared to a lot of SEC teams. Fromm or bust at QB. No proven WRs. No proven pass rusher. Punting game is still somewhat worrisome.

That is a decent amount of things to be concerned about. Yes they have insane talent from recruiting, but those are some key things that could derail a season very quickly. Especially the cords and QB depth issue.

Auburn has beat Bama in multiple ways.

2010- 24 pt Comeback, balanced offense of deep routes and power read run game.

2013- Toe to toe with physicality, more open spread concept formation wise but complimented with read option.

2014- In a loss at Bama, Auburn had 640 yards of offense, deep passing routes and power run game.

2017- Power run and intermediate passing. Simply Auburn was more physical but defense was a massive factor.

There are continual themes the offense has but shown a way of winning/being successful in a multitude of ways. Auburn will resemble the 2010 offense this year in terms of formations and play calling. With Gatewood at QB he won’t be asked to do as much as Cam from a passing standpoint but I guarantee the run game will be very similar.

When Will Auburn fans learn to stop hyping up a QB that hasn't proven anything?

Gus's track record with nontransfer QB is down right awful.

I’m not hyping him up? All I said was the type of offense he was going to run. I don’t have high expectations of QB play this year, the saving grace is that he won’t be asked to do a lot.

QB depth issue.

This is not an issue unique to uga. It’s a problem for most teams including Florida
