As if Tennessee's secondary couldn't get any worse. Burrell out for the season

Tennessee will be without a starting defensive back for the rest of the season. Head coach Josh Heupel announced at his weekly press conference on Monday that senior cornerback Warren Burrell underwent surgery on an upper-body injury suffered at the end of the Pittsburgh game and will miss the rest of the 2022 season.
Burrell had started the first two games of the season before sitting out the past two against Akron and Florida with Christian Charles starting in his place.
Burrell’s absence will leave Tennessee needing to rely on an inexperienced group of cornerbacks for the remaining eight or nine games. The veteran, a 22-game starter in his career, had played the most snaps of the position group before his injury and was on the field for all but two snaps of the win at Pittsburgh. There was clearly a strong trust in him from defensive coordinator Tim Banks and secondary coach Willie Martinez, but now the Vols will have to rely on other cornerbacks the rest of the way.
Burrell is UT's best tackling corner (none of them can cover).
Any team that doesn't exploit this should fire their OC immediately.

BOB will split out Randolph, our 300lb blocking TE, and match him up on Burrell's replacement. BOB is sharp like that.

I'll have my "fire Denbrock" thread typed up and ready to submit as soon as the game is over.
Pretty much guaranteed that LSU will have the lowest passing yardage on Tennessee all season.

Don't sweat it. Kentucky will still call four second routes with a line that can hold up for about three seconds. Just hit the big tall white kid in the blue and white uniform holding the football and standing like a statue.
As long as Henderson doesn't throw any pick sixes (looking at you, AR-15), you'll be fine. No worries.

And still averaging almost 50 a game.

As we used to say before the internet: next man up.

I’m sure Daniels is licking his chops to run now that your best tackling corner is out. Still won’t throw it, but might mean an extra yard or two per scramble.
Sigh

It’s okay. Our QB doesn’t throw more than 5 yards down the field

Then after he lets a receiver run free 5 yards behind him we would say, "pull his f*%^ing scholarship"!

already making excuses before the game huh? By the way, our qb threw for 80 yds last week…against auburn, so you should be fine.

It's okay we can't throw the ball again.
The Auburn game had me seeing flashbacks of Les Miles/Cam Cameron.

LSU is down two defensive backs this week. Not a good thing when having to face Tenner's passing game.

I agree with this, I am still not sure its Denbrock or Daniels. Seriously, the ND/Cincy offense was not this bad at passing. Its like we are having to pay some karma tax for the 2019 passing offense the last three years.

That's OK. You don't have to cover LSU's receivers. All you have to do is be anywhere near one inside of 10 yards and Daniels won't throw the ball. Beyond 10 and your guys can relax, because JD can't get it to him anyway.

I believe we heard the same story concerning Anthony Richardson of Florida.
Tennessee has a way of making bad quarterbacks look like All-Americans.

Everyone do themselves a favor and take the over 62.

Our OC has the opposite gameplan for what works. If we should pass we try to run, if we should run we try to pass. yall will be fine

Burrell has been out since the Pitt game and was never expected to play in this game or Bama game. The initial hope was to get him back by Kentucky.

Making excuses already

Are you even a Tennessee fan, he hasn’t played in two games. This isn’t a surprise
