I despise it in all sports, but it’s especially egregious in baseball. tu has the ugliest field I can think of off the top of my head.

There's a school within our own conference that has a batter's box made out of Fieldturf

I’m not a fan. I understand that in some locations it just has to be turf with the weather but god it’s awful.

Turrible. Routine grounders become laser shots on this turf in Corvallis.

At least you guys didn't go with a turf mound to go along with that. That shite should never be allowed! Sooner or later a pitcher is gonna get a cleat caught on that - bad injury just waiting to happen.

I think grass should be required in baseball & football.

Vandy has a fully turf field including the pitcher's mound. I think our first year with the turf prevented 5 or so games from being rained out. Also, a lot of colleges use the players to help perform maintenance on a grass field. The turf lets the focus on school or baseball more instead of being groundkeepers.

And there's a school in our conference that has their entire field made of turf.

No, I’ve been there, FSU’s is grass and clay. Vandy is the only good program I can think of with an all turf field.

Ahh okay. Caught a bit of one of the games and looked different. I don't watch much baseball though.
